Aw, mannn, this is turning into a bad week. Got everything running great and about an hour ago, my new monitor hiccuped and did a washout and got this huge black line with a gradient in it that goes all the way across the screen. Covers about half the screen. Thought it was the new card. Switched monitors so they were on opposite cards, and the line is still there. Bad monitor. Now I'm waiting on a new one. :(
Damn, I hate when stuff like that happens. Get a new toy, very excited to use it, and it's broken!!!!!!! ARRRRRGHHH!!!Quote:

It's like going to DSL.
You can never go back to dial-up again.
Once you use dual monitors it seems like half a computer to use only one again.
I've been using dual 19" crt's since last year when I bought my nVidia ti4200 with two ports.
I think the digital-to-analog adapter for the second monitor only cost $5-7 at Compusa.
It has worked flawlessly and I can't imagine ever going back to a single monitor.
Heck, I'm currently looking into putting an additional pci card to see what using a third or fourth monitor is like.
I think I'll need a bigger mouse pad...:D
Good luck with the monitor.
I've only had it working a couple days now, and I'm already hooked. It bites that a brand new monitor went bad so fast. Feels weird to have it sitting there doing nothing. :D
Well, my replacement monitor got here and is now hooked up and running. With the bad one, I had all those visual problems. When I took it off as the second monitor, and let it sit overnite before turning it back on, the problem had gone away. Naturallly, this after already ordering the replacement. It seemed to run alright when I turned it back on and enabled it the next day. But now that I have the replacement one in, I can see the other one still had problems.
What a difference. I like it. But now, I have to break years of old single monitor habits and learn new ones. It's going to be fun. I've already got Flash broken apart so the panels are on the secondary and the main timeline is on the new monitor. And, I've found that with duals, I can update a clients shopping cart prices twice as fast. No switching between browser windows anymore. :)
Triples, anyone? Muahahahahaha....
