one that bugs me out... if squiddy's first post is the first hundred pixels... shouldn't it match 1stbite's last 100 pixel image? maybe i'm not getting it, but i cannot see the match :confused:
no i think it goes like squids image is where 1stbites starts, but you dont see that part, you only see where 1st bites leaves off
so sorta like this :

first person creates A, the second person starts at a and ends at b, and so on, and only where they end off is shown.

This is what happened with squid...
He assumed that the game was going towards the left, insted its going towards the right... so he took 1stbites image, put it on the right side of his volley, and starting making his own volley towards the left. then posted the left hand side 100px of his image... causing the mural to have to double-back on itself. which is wrong :D . the mural direction is like reading a book.
wouter, gerbick is in 6th place. you're going to have to ask him if he wants to swap you for 8th place (which is where you are... check the first post)
I'll gladly take 8th place. Wouter, take my place at 6th... it'll be better for me.
The lists been updated. Wouter is now 6th, Gerbick is 8th.

is this going to be limited by size? like are we stopping after so many users have volleyed and start again or is this just going to get bigger (note: and cooler) as we go?
I am so pumped for this battle, is the format original? I've never seen it anywhere else...
i think the last person should have to loop back into TheWaste's serve...
we could animate all the final posts into some sort of looping viewmaster.
and i've never seen this format before. murals, yes...but this is a whole different animal.
I've been checking out these battles and this sounds like a cool (and unconventional) way to start out. So yeah, count me in :D
edit: Woah, didn't realise this was well in progress. Well if there's a spot put me up, otherwise no problem.

Squid : Im not really planning on setting an actual time to stop, because once everyone has gone, im hoping people will want a second turn or something... but if there isnt much support for that (or if its taking like a week per volley) then ill call a countdown/goal until we end.
The format is original, but the concept is from a party game, where someone writes 3 (or so) sentances on a page, then folds the paper, and hands it on to the next person in a way that they cant see anything else but the last written sentance. From there, they continue the story. At the end, you get a great crazy-assed story.
PS: im pumped too buddy :D
Nord: I was thinking of doing that. The viewmaster is a great idea... I was just going to lay it out on a html page but yeah, good thinking! (Any volunteers for making it? I could do it myself but im sure someone heres gonna be able to do it way better than I could)

Gerbick: Once this things finished ill ftp/gmail/whatever all the files to you and you can host them however you like. Thanks for the offer! You might wanna consider getting this showcased (in the format nord suggested) on some other sites... its free promotion for flashkit, and might bump up the numbers of vistors we have here in the arena. just an idea... your call.
I love getting suggestions. If you guys dont like a certain idea (eg: people having second turns once we're outta people) then say something and we'll get a vote on it or summin. Everyones gonna have a turn with this, so i think everyone should have a say in how this whole thing works.

depending on how soon nayades puts up his volley, will decide whether we need a replacement or not.
Again, if nayades puts it up soon, then we will just be waiting on nord to get back, so insted of that, we'll find a replacement.
If he doesnt put it up soon, then Nord will prob have returned and will be ready to volley and therefore wont need a replacement.
Thanks for volunteering clicky... we might need you if nayades posts soon.
EDIT: After checking the list, I realise that its only fair that the next person in line is the one to replace nord (if required...)

also, get nayades email address off that post - the spiders will get it, and spam the living daylights out of him.
gmail seems to manage spam pretty well. ive never gotten a single one. but your right, ill delete his message asap.
I just hope nayades knows what hes doing -- otherwise he'll have to make a volley between a start and finish so it doesnt inconvinience anyone else...
well, there's no turning back now.
