wow i now know far more than i wished about you guys pen 15's
so should we all be changing our titles now to helmet, sans helmet or possibly even dark helmet?
Um dark helmet? Lord Vedas penis? :D
To go back to the subject :mrpimp:
I come from germany and live here quite a some time. I also never understand why they cut the foreskin, especially this is supposed to be  a Democracy  , where people can decide, well that would fill a "hole" :doughnut: different thread. There are two reasons, one is health.
1. It is easier to clean the penis when the foreskin is cut.
The second one is cultural/religious: Jewish people, for example, cut the foreskin, although i believe this has nothing to do with the custom here, since the jewish population is small. It might be interesting if anybody knows if there is another large group of people whose culture it is to cut the foreskin.
In Germany where i come from the foreskin will only be cut when there are problems in the moving it, which can of course cause problems in the sexual intercourse or cleaning the penis.
generally I learnt that it is of disadvantage to cut the foreskin because it hurts during intercourse, correct me if I'm wrong because I was not born here.
:D
It is intersting how people answer when there is a question related to genitals/sex :mrpimp:
Well thats a load of rubbish... pull back and wash, vs just wash...Quote:

I don't see how difficult it is to pull back before you wash?!
to pull it back needs 3 seconds at best?
times 2 per day == 6 seconds per day.
times 30 per month == 180 seconds == 3 minutes per month.
times 12 per year == 36 minutes per year.
times your life span, well...
:cow:
Depends, some have to look for it first......:DQuote:

I was citing others it is not my opinion ;) . But some people have difficulties pulling it back and their forskin gets cut if that happens.
please get back to topic.
Muslims do it to. But they wait till the kid is twelve. Yikes...Quote:

You know, It's funny, I must've missed mine, or you think I would notice such a procedure...
Muslims do it too, by the seventh day the boy is born, so you're like 4300 days off
Ya, I think you'd remember if it was done to you at twelve. I was going from a page I found Googling, which I can't post, cause it shows the unit of a guy who had it done, but I got this;Quote:

"Circumcision is not mentioned in the Qur'an, but Muslims everywhere regard it as essential, and the Hadith record it as a practice enjoined by all past prophets. Significantly, it is also known by a euphemism: tahara, meaning "purification." The age at which it is performed varies from region to region and even from family to family, but most often age seven is preferred, although it is known from as early as the seventh day following birth all the way up to puberty."
Further down, it kept mentioning the "traditional" job being done on 12 year olds, more than on 7 year olds.
"I come from germany and live here quite a some time. I also never understand why they cut the foreskin, especially this is supposed to be a Democracy , where people can decide"
Um, people CAN decide?
Edit: Pulled due to complaints
Its true... thats why I wouldn't christen my child... I want them to choose what religion they will follow.

Did anyone see Pen And Tellers Bull***** program on circumcision?
I instantly thought of this thread.
Quite a powerful and funny/entertaining show.
Well worth a watch if you have the means... its episode 1
Points I took away from the show:
Removing the foreskin makes sex less enjoyable.
Makes it harder for the bloke to "last longer" or "know when its going to happen".
And it makes the penis smaller.
Removal does not protect against AIDS or any other STD.
You do NOT need to do it if you are a Jew.
It scares the crap out of babies.
And is not nice.
:D
So there you go... thought I'd share :D
haven't seen it.. just curious what the reasoning was there?... not sure about the rest though.Quote:

Tony
They spoke to a rabi, who firstly explained the history of why they do it...Quote:

Then went on to state that being circumcised is "absolutly no reflection of Jewishness" or something along those lines. :)
wow this is very interesting.. wish i had read this before my son was born.
Quote:
There has always been a nasty underside to circumcision. Whether it was Greek authorities killing Jews for circumcising their infant boys (1 Maccabees 1: 60-62), Jewish zealots forcibly circumcising uncircumcised Jewish boys (1 Maccabees 2: 46) or Muslim zealots forcibly circumcising Christian men, women and children in Ambon, Indonesia (Sydney Morning Herald January 27, 2001, page 25), there has always been a powerful undercurrent of violence and sexual abuse associated with circumcision.
The biggest point in the show for me was when they compaired it to female genital mutilation...
The UN (and other authorities) activly investigates and discourage mutliation of the female genitals, how come its ok for people to do this to men?
how come its ok for people to do this to men? [/QUOTE]
I see your point, but i think the female procedure is quite a bit more brutal with no cultural reference that i am aware of...
i saw some program a while back with little girls and young women (not infants) lined up with little or no proper anesthesia in a friggin tent... i think that is just straight up brutality.
The "tribes" people performing these rituals on women will see it as a cultural thing...Quote:

But I see where you're coming from.
I just think cutting parts off another persons body is a foul injustice.
If you want it for your child, atleast wait till they are old enough to decide if they want the procedure themselves.
yea, i am not sure now that it was the right choice now for my son... but it's done... and he won't remember.
just say its kinda like having an outie belly button..Quote:

i know for a fact that regardless if i wanted it or not, once i was grown up enough to understand it, no way in hell is any person alive getting close enough to my junk to cut it with a knife.
cept girls.. there alow to come and go as they please, but most times a simple pat down will allow me to check if there are any sharp objects.
Really? If it was less enjoyable why would a cut guy not be able to last as long? Sounds to me like he's having a better time :)Quote:

All those who had hair pulling good sex before the cut then had bad sex after please raise their hand. I bet you don't find anyone over the age of twelve who voluntarily had their willy whacked, especially once you knew what it was for. There goes the basis for a scientific comparison.
And hey, let's face it, only a certified madman would put the twig and giggle berries in the hands of another guy, worse yet a guy with a knife (or, god help me, a LASER) intent on using it!
And then again, I've know a couple guys over the years that DID have to have it cut when they were in their 20's.
A week in the hospital, excruciating pain the whole time, very expensive, and who knows what that's going to do to your psyche?
Me? Thanks Mom, glad you had it done when I was an hour old. :D
Has anyone said Taxes in New York State yet???? (sorry didn't read the whole thread)
Huh? Who says it's "ok" to do this to men? Actually, infant boys, but i digress.Quote:

I have two boys, and i couldn't imagine doing anything to hurt them. I don't understand holding a day old child in my arms and thinking, "you know, let me just lop off part of his penis so he won't get teased in the locker room some day."
I just don't get it.

Its a simple matter of feeling.Quote:

As explained in the show:
The foreskin is packed with millions of nerve endings, more so than any other part of the body...
So by removing this, you get less feeling/enjoyment and some medical term I forget meaning that you can't judge, or its difficult to judge when the moment of impact will occur... :D
Yup, me neither...Quote:

Its seen as ok and usual in most of America (apparently).
I don't really know of anywhere else in the rest of the world where its seen as OK.
The only reason its done else where is for religious reasons, briss etc...
I would have to say the reading comprehension and attention to detial amongst America's youth.Quote:
