So perhaps it would be more accurate and appropriate to say that being a man requires one to not so much dominate, but initiate. It's all a matter of perception, really.
And yes, this does carry over into the bedroom. Do you want a guy who is just going to lay there, fumble over you ineptly, expire quickly in response to your overwhelming sexuality, or perhaps even just quietly worship you...or do you want a skilled and confident lover who is capable of giving you all that you want and need both as a woman and as a person? Sensitivity with conviction. That's what it is to be a man. (that thing with the hair, though...seriously guys...try it if you haven't)
Unfortunately she's already made most of her decisions, you just aren't privvy to them. :)Quote:

That's already been made. Be yourself...just be the best self you can be.
Yeah, that's a whole separate can of worms, there. I have an inkling that our good buddy luvenny is looking for the real thing, though. :)Quote:

AAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAA :D Watching this train wreck of a thread has been brilliant :DQuote:

Hahahahahahahaaa :D
Oh my :)
haha thanks mark- can just imagine you sitting there watching and waiting :p
oh, and rush- me not being a heterosexual woman no way invalidates anything i've said either.... i wasn't specifically talking from my own point of view and my own perspective.
I'll take that to be indicative of a lack of an ability to formulate an appropriate response. :)
It's all good, Carly. There will always be exceptions to every rule. :)
Oh RUSH. You have inspired me! I am going to go into the bedroom now and give my wife some wild passionate, hair pulling, dominant manly love right now!Quote:

Whatever works best for you, my friend. :)
I should also maybe mention just for all those lurkers who appear to be watching this thread...and yeah, I was watching the post count skyrocket, lol...I would have continued the 'debate', but doing so would have required me to delve deeper into Carly's personal sexuality and I didn't want to put her on the spot like that. Simply knowing which way she swung (which is cool) put her immediately out of sync with the women of whom I was speaking.
And yeah, I'll say again that I was speaking in general terms. There are plenty of women...literally thousands upon thousands if you look at the ratios...who will fall outside the 'norm' of which I speak.
well at least you are aware of that. and thanks for the respect man :)Quote:

Yes, SOME women would like to be dominated, have the alpha male beat his chest towards her... but you can't group all women into this "neiche"... I'm sure most women would respect a partner more that treats her as an equal, both in the bedroom and life in general.
It was nice to see your antiquated ideas fall down in only a few posts though :D

As much as males are hard-wired to seek willing and fertile females, females are hard-wired to be attracted to dominate males. Society has placed all kinds of faces on what is considered acceptable behavior while following these pursuits, but that aspect never has and never will change. And yes, like I said before, there are exceptions.
Now maybe you could explain to me where my 'antiquated ideas fell down'. Has evidence or even the hint of a compelling argument been presented to refute my statements? Everyone (who has been posting, anyway) seems to agree that 'some' women like to be dominated. Ok. That's pretty much what I've been saying. The only aspect lacking clarity is how you define certain terms. As far as I can tell, you are simply misinterpreting my comments. All you're getting is that I said 'women like to be dominated'. Did the entire subtle and complex part of the equation somehow escape you? Did you happen to read anything else I wrote?
Nah... he's just the guy who's been sending me all of these damn viagra ads!Quote:

brighton is best in the summer anyway :) dunno about fatboy, it seems to get bigger and messier every year!! i've only been down there and caught it once (the first one), and that was kind of an accident- i always used to head down the beach for a pint (or several) after work and accidentally ended up there. was very cool though :DQuote:

I think I will do the least pathetic thing and tell her my feelings. Hopefully that won't complicate our current working relationship, which I do enjoy by the way.
That was actually my favorite song for a while when I was growing up. I don't recall anything in there about tearing around town as part of a vespa gang, though. :D
Good man. Honesty is the best policy. Then all the wondering crap will be over. :)Quote:

BULLS***! Write a note??? Are you kidding me....maybe it would work as a sweet thing to do after dating a while, but i think he needs to grow some nads and ask her face to face.Quote:

that right there SCREAMS nerd girl. and i dont think she would want someone all in her face like your wicked hot lets **** now. I think she would enjoy a nice little thing, that takes very little time, but would show that you care and you would like to spend some time together.
i didn't read all the posts in this thread because a lot of them were long. but i think he he wants to still talk to this girl even if he is not interested correct?
giving her a flower that costs like $.75 and writing her a note, suddenly you have taken 5 minutes worth of effort, and made it look good, and it shows a lot of interest, it also shows her he is not just interested in the ass, which im sure she will appreciate.
It amazes me how much of tool you actually are. :rolleyes:Quote:

So to the ladies of flashkit choose one:
option a.) hey baby, wanna head over to my dorm and ill show you the best 2 and a half minutes of your life
option b.) here this is for you, a red tipped yellow rose and a note, wanna go see a movie?
i think it's kind of a nice idea, but not for a first move and certainly not seeing as he dosn't even know if she is interested. would be more appropriate if she'd shown interest or something......
but that's just my opinion.
that's the point of the rose, yellow represents friendship, yellow with a red tip represents friendship that could grow into more.
even if she doesn't want more, she knows hes still interested in being friends.
Then again she could just be using him for his brains to copy his homework.
Women are devious.
that alone would probably do- bin the flower ;)Quote:
