Very well done DaVulf. Awesome volley. Makes me dreamy. :)
hhmmm...davulf...did i catch you reposting a different version??? ;)
last time i looked the 'town' on the hill had different lighting, and i was going to come back to point it out...looks like you got to it first ;)
nice concept and pretty good execution.
lol. Yea, I posted it, then checked on both computers and my laptop. I noticed the lighting, fixed it, and reposted. Thanks for the comments lefty. I feel like my work has really come along since that first battle with Nat. Look at the first image in that one. Pretty low key.Quote:

the edges of the trees look a little more like a fade then actual foliage but this is pretty good man. Keep going
Yea I agree. It was tough working with that island from Silver's volley. You should get back into the battling JWin. Our battle with Nep seems to have died, why not call someone like Ond out. He's been lurking around recently.Quote:

i just saw this so ill work on something.
im good with going till we feel like stopping, iv been out of the loop alot so iv got a lot to work on
Sounds good man. I'll try to crit your images more as we go on. :)
Good idea, not too keen on your ligting and blending, some of the elements, the town especially as well as the foliage around the edges of the town look too blurred, also the light source is right behind the sky town so the side that's showing to us should be a lot darker in the centres and tapered out towards the edges.
Apart from that, love the stock you chose, the colours on those clouds and the sunset are lovely.
Thanks for the crits Nat.
I guess that since I've been getting better the crits are easier? I hope these are actually good... My previous images didn't get nearly as many crits, but I didn't think they were anywhere near as good. If the amount of criticism is any indication of how badly an image is made, then I'm not moving in the right direction.
Awesome image DaVulf and Silver. I think that jungle image was your best image ever, other than the one with CT. Great volleys.
D, crits are good; often it takes a pair of fresh eyes to see what you missed while you're working on an image. You should look at them as people urging you on rather than tearing you down.
Then again, I love crits, good or bad they it always gives you a new perspective on what you're doing, what you want to do with what is said is still entirely up to you.
;)
I understand that crits are what I look for, but I'm just saying that it seems I get more criticisms on the images I think are better, than on the ones I don't think are so good. I was just wondering if maybe I had it mixed up. ;)
I suppose it is because the better ones have less things to crit so its easier? I know I don't usually crit the nicer images by some of the big wigs, because I don't think I have anything to say. I do appreciate the crits though, and I can see what you all mean.
I'm still getting settled in with the switch to Straight Ahead Media. We finally got the site up but there have been minor issues that I've been cleaning up. Also working on getting a blog up to accompany the site. Annnyway, I've hardly had time to lurk the past couple weeks, I'll be back soon ;)Quote:

I hear ya man. Well, I suppose that makes sense. You get to the top of one plateau, so you are commended on your skills. Once you bust that level you're back at the bottom of a new one, so crits come once again. :)Quote:

No worries man. :)
DaVulf, on your last image. is the top part just plain black? if so, i think it does not fit in with the overall image. i like the rest very much though.
