My ancestors are actually from czech so it was a win either way for me.
3-0!? thats the biggest spread so far. man we suck.
I saw them, weak defense. They had some pretty good chances. Czecho had both, a strong defense and strong attack.
Forgot one thing. Too many fouls, US crippled half of the Czecho team.
I just saw that dubya called the team prior to the match to give them a pep talk. It all makes sense now.
Damn, slightly missed... oh well.

Terrible performance by him. In fact quite a lot of the England team were very unimpressive both collectively and individually. I don't think Joe Cole laid it off once when he was in the final third, always shooting from long range, with no effect. Lennon was one of the bright spots, he was running rings around them down the right wing.Quote:

US against Italy, US was impressive but the referee was crazy. They can still move on if they win the next game, but they play against Ghana and Ghana was strong today. If Ghana looses and Tscheko looses ???
Argentina's second goal against Serbia and Montenegro was incredible! I think Argentina might win the Championship this year!

The Dutch vs. Argentina match was a letdown.
Both teams having qualified put in their reserve teams and it was a experimental game for the coaches to try different combinations which resulted in a goaless draw.
Ivory Coast finally won a match at the world cup by beating Serbia 3-2.

The ITALY vs CZECH REPUBLIC game will be a cracker. Both teams need a win to qualify further. I think GHANA should win against the US and qualify directly.
The Aussies fight with the Croats for a place in the second round while Brazil will be looking forward to re-discovering the Samba magic against Japan.
Holland v Argentina was a disappointment but Messi looked good. The real fun starts with the knockout stages, it's all been a bit tepid so far.
