Did you download it from Mozilla directly? Perhaps the CD had a defect on it when you ordered one (if you did).Quote:

If its not from Mozilla directly -- don't install it! However, it does sound like you did download from Mozilla. Can you explain how it killed your computer? In what ways?
You guys are ruthless...
I was probably always uncool ;)Quote:

I wish Bill gates is not any more the richest man, because if he is IE will still survive. I never forget How Mac users have been treated. :(
Man!...
That firefox program iz Lame!!1
Why the hell is that fox humping that beach ball in the logo?
I'll stick with my Microsoft Internet Exploiter/Exploder thank you very much!
I downloaded it from ********firefox.com. I installed it and it told me to restart. It restarted and Windows was gone. All gone. Our IT guy said it would never ever come back.Quote:

This has happened to me on a number of occasions. When I restarted one of my computers, it would always turn into a black screen and Windows would not show up. So, a friend told me to shut it down and reboot it manually -- and it worked.
He says the problem may be most likely with the BIOS settings and how it tells the computer to restart, but it could also be an internal problem with one of the Windows system files.
Are you saying that my IT guy isn't smart. He got payed to fix my computer for 3 hours today and said that it could not be recovered. If he says it's hosed, it's hosed...and most likely my job as well. :(
Bah! I used to use Internet Explorer, but one of my friends sold me the latest version of Netscape for just $115, which was great because he said it usually costs like over a $1000 . I don't think any other browser can beat Netscape, and specially if that one is free. You see, Firefox must be free because nobody wanted to buy it, so they decide instead of closing their company, they'll just give it away for free....but Netscape, if a browser costs $1000 then it means it is really really good.
Besides I think Firefox is dangerous and is what hackers use, because I was reading this article that said that you can use it to steal content from any website in the world and save it to your computer in something called RSS, which has that weird name because it's the initials of the guy that invented that hacking program.
So, is Firefox really worth it?
Yes... I think Firefox is worth it ;)
You are too much...:D
Ha, IE has that too! Have a look at these extensions for IE ;)Quote:

Oh my g***... I failed the 800x600 test. I have to buy a new graphics card immediately.
Please don't tell my wife. She'll leave me.
Edit: Oh s*** guys, you've gotta help me. I've been all over New Egg and I can't find their ISA section. Cost isn't an issue. This is an emergency! If she gets home and sees what I've done to the IBM PS/2, she's going to kill me. The card I have now says "OAK Technology" on it and has a picture of a tree. Does that mean I have to recycle it?
:( I even spent all morning trying to convince her that Firefox would be just like Netscape Navigator (what she uses now).
Maybe, maybe not - how much do you value your current internets? Mine are fine and I won't be switching, everthing I need I get from the pre-installed google no worries. But then, I am a professional web-designer.Quote:

*whoosh.* :D education
What is it with IE all the time - I can't even pronounce that, it's not even a word. I design with the google.Quote:

your music is pretty sweet btw.
im dyslexic, will firefox make the words appear correctly for me?
No, but the dictionary extension will be able give you tell you what dyslexia really is. :D
So maybe you need a synonym (replaces words with similar (like) words) extension for the really challenging (hard) words. :DQuote:

The word "dyslexia" comes from the Greek words δυς- dys- ("difficulty with") and λέξις lexis ("words" or "lexicon"). It is a brain-based condition with biochemical and genetic markers[1][2][3]. People are identified as dyslexic when their reading or writing problems cannot be explained by a lack of intellectual ability, inadequate instruction, or sensory problems such as poor eyesight.
The term dyslexia is also sometimes used to refer to the the loss of reading ability following brain damage. This form of dyslexia is more often referred to as either acquired dyslexia or "Alexia". Dyslexia primarily impacts reading and writing abilities; however, other difficulties have been identified including deficits in processing spoken language[4] as well as non-language difficulties[5].
Dyslexia is not limited to reversing the order of letters in reading or writing. Nor is it a visual perception deficit that involves reading letters or words backwards or upside down, as is often implied in popular culture.
pwnt. :(
'dyslexia' ha ha :D but seriously, lets not let this otherwise useful discussion decend into a joke thread about made up 'conditions'. I enjoy a joke as much as the next but this internet is serious business.
I hope all of you at the beginning were being sarcastic about never heard of firefox before, ive been using it for about 4 years.
P.s. install it onto a memory stick and put it in a computer. then you can change you proxy settings if they are normally retricted.
At my school if i change my proxy to:
unfiltered.proxy.falmouth.net then i get unfiltered internet access. Yeah!
Oooh, look at you. Why would anyone put up with this stupid program for 4 years? You should really try IE. It is freaking AWESOME!Quote:
