Site Check

this is cool. very, very cool. i wont say whats good, ill only point bad things IMHO:

white background in footer
low quality JPGs (but dont mind it, ive got the same problem)
and i would (in client area) place only white (or green) border, and black background, so it would be so contrastable. Rest is cool. I like Ur style. But maybe add some borders to whole page, cuz it looks like it is floating in middle of nowhere. But ill say another time, this is sooo cooool... but (for my slow connection) ya would add text preloader.

I see you are just getting going but you better add a right click contextMenu to block the right click menu before you get any deeper into the build. I can right click and navigate your frames (which right now being early just changes your textfields but this will bite you in the backside later since I see you plan on having user accounts and logins).

Ok I have fix the login to fit the site better and disable right click (thanks chirs :) )

I will be working on it more and more Please keep the idea and reviews coming...

Remember, disable it in the Koolmoves...not in the html...otherwise they can still direct hit the SWF and do it. This will force you to export your movie at a minumum of Flash 7 but worth it!!!

Re moda,

1) I liked Necromanthus' MP3 player, but "Faint" was the only song I could get to play. Each time I switched pages, the song stopped playing because the player reloaded. If possible, the player should be seperate from the content display area, so it can run in parallel as the visitor navigates the site. The player reloading each time also contributed to the page load time.

2) I had a couple comments regarding image handling and page load time, but because I don't understand the site's purpose, they may not be relevant and the site works fine (just a little slow due to images loading).

Re arythmics Gallery (Galeria), consider something like JAlbum (a free web photo album application). It has an easy to use interface, allows for folder structures so photos can be grouped, and you can easily add photo comments. I use the BananAlbum skin, which allows for preview thumbnails, images sized to the PC screen, and links to download the original image - this minimizes load time while the visitor is browsing images, yet (relevant to moda) allows them to access the full size image if they want to. Click here to see my ham radio club photos; I set the thumbnails to 120 by 90 pixels, the PC display images are 1200 by 900, and the downloadable originals are whatever they are, but only loaded if the visitor wants to.

Thanks Peter, thats what I wanted - constructive critics. What about Necro's player... i wanted to do what youre saing, and Ive got 5 opions:
1. iframe
2. frameset
3. JS using innerHTML to change content
4. AJAX to make player not reload
5. pop-up window

and now: 1,2 are deprecated. 3,4 - not indexed by google... and i dont know AJAX or even JS so good to use it. 5 - many ppl with 'normal' browsers have pop-ups blocked. and many of them would just shut the window, even before they would see that this is not advert, but a player.

2) what about time... its due to alias. http://transclub.pl/mroofka/arythmics/ worx fast. what about site puprose, seems that this is Arythmics' band site and this is only to inform ppl who we are, what do we play, download some mp3 or see us :P nothing more. Maybe sometime ill make a forum connected with the site, but im not sure.
what about gallery... every script in my sites are my own scripts (excluding run_active_content and necros' player ;) ) and i dont wanna use any other scripts. What about those mine scripts... there are control panels allowing users to log in and upload/manage photos. But i wont show ya that, you have to belive me ;p and if you wanna acces full size photo (in moda) just click on the thumbnail, it opens jpg in new window.

BTW: I really like banan's gallery preloaders. And thanks for your opinion.

Cheers for that Ant, I'll go and have a play. I did a preloader I was quite happy with that I included with the template 3 I just put in Kool exchange, it uses a piece of art thats in the libruary that I changed a little, then made it spin.

hm... tommorrow ill check it out. I saw the thumb, and seems that this template is in my style ;) so now im gonna sleep, cuz tommorrow (today) im going to theathre. And im forced to play there :|

Journal and Bio seems not to work.
I think site looks good. work on html background so it match flash one; also change the colors of contentPanes - so it will match whole sites and it will be cool.
also font in text could be a bit smaller and not bold.
if you can, remove the white lines from menu bar.
anyway, if its your first flash site, im waiting for next. Good job.

How does someone fish fulltime? This is the question from beer drinkers across the world. Wonder if you use panther-martin?

Also why not use the active java to get rid of the square that first appears when you site loads? Koolmoves does this with ease.

I also asume that the photos don't load because you haven't loaded them yet. i have a fishing game that I made with koolmoves if you want it.

Thanks for the help guys, I really do appreciate it. I'm still working on Journal and Bio, and I'm not sure why the photo's didn't come up, I thought I had everything loaded, I'll have to re-check that.

I almost always use firefox, and totally forget about the Active Java/Flash fix for IE, thanks for the reminder.

I'd love to take a look at the fishing game, it's not my say whether it goes in or not, but I can show it to the guy and see what he says. I was thinking about making one, but it seemed way to complex for me at this stage.

I'm getting close, and hopefully will be done within the next few days..

I made a slide show in KM, and I could see it on my home computer, computer at work, and my laptop, as well as at my sisters house, but I had 2 other people who couldn't see it at all. Are there any known problems/fixes for the slideshow. I'm currently using a freebie I found on the net, but I don't want to stray from KM....I have the .fun file if that would help anyone
