some of you people here are crazy. go back to the flash 4 actionscript interface??!!?? ok so some things were easier as you had boxes to fill in and it led you by the hand through scripting. BUT!!!! the expert mode means i can now hand type and copy and paste script. this saves me so much time. especially where the script only requires minor changes from line to line.
Plug In Support :D.....that would take flash to new levels
Plus 3D support...importing from various other major 3D proggies :D
ability to create odd shaped .swf files -:D that would turn a www in something :O
I would want it to be alot eaiser to use like swish where u just have to click the effect. With more effects and better action scripting.
you know what would be awsome if poser 4 was built into it. That would probally bump the price up a couple hundred dollars.
i think im gonna e-mail this to macromedia and see what they think.
Ahh-haahaa!!
FROM Flash6... When I export as a Flash4 OR Flash5 file, others running F4/F5 (NOT JUST F6) can import it.
This was my single biggest ultrashock of F5 design!?
It forced sites to differenciate between ALL F4 and F5 filetypes unnecessarily. I'm hoping F6 won't try the same Forced Upgrade trick on us again!!
how bloody long is this thread!
I've spent about a whole day look at this!
some are good comments but others are just stupid, incorporating all these things will take the programmers years to do all this, the price will be like studio max, $000's of dollors ,
but I do opt to get rid of them stupid floating windows!, but not the actionscript window.
I started learning flash a fe wmonths ago in F4 thoughht i got it sorted then F5 comes out, **** i basically had to start learning the entire thing over again!
ah well!
bugger my eyes are sore! Too many hours on FK , time to go down to the pub, c ya all later!
Cold Fusion!
built in cold fusion tags... hey... Macromedia just merged with Allaire, why not? If you could talk to cold fusion server straight from flash, woooo, that would be rad! You could do all sorts of insaneness =)
Ported to Linux.....
Finally getting a developer / server platform that actually worked :) sweet!

Flash Skins
just thought of this one last night in bed... when you're trying to give the effect of moving the 'camera' across the stage, you have to motion tweening everything on the stage in time to give the effect. wouldn't it be nice if there was a box that could be dragged around and zoomed in and out that was the viewing portal, only things in this box would be seen... in other words you can drag the background around, i think this would be a great time saving addition to flash 6 :)
Like a setTimeout("",1000)
set Interval("",1000)
Greetings Mnerd
The simplest thing- Illustrator style Path tools and controls. Then we could all get away from the terribly boring circle and square effects. Rise up designers and take flash back from the programming gurus. Now how am I going to get my eye candy down to an acceptable file size. Burn offerings to the actionscript priestess for some of that good mojo.
Is this list being sent to Macromedia???
Just wondering.
just waiting it
I know all of the companies now put those floating windows in thier programs, but they really annoy me. I wish they would at least allow you to stick them on the side top or bottom. i know u can turn them off but i still dont like them.
I guess I would be the last one to conclue this thread.
I would like to see they support unicode, (every helpful for non latin text) so we can have text in chinese, japanese and so many languages saved in text file and import them into Flash.
Hope they can combine Freehand, Flash, UltraDev together, it's nice to do ASP, JSP or Coldfusion in Flash directly, or even partner with Adobe, so we can have Premier, Photoshop in Flash someday........ KEEP DREAMING
