i finished my first thing today and it gave me 33 points. I am now on my second thing with 61% done. it is 2:49 AM and that 61% has been there for about 1 hour now. my computer may not be the best (Pentium II 266 MHz Presario with 64 MB of memory) but i am sure it'll help. thank you
this is just teriffic, my computer was all screwed up so i had to reboot it. i thought it would save the stuff that it had done, but when i turn my computer back on it is at 0%. Grrrrrr, it was working on that thing since this morning, and now it is all gone.

for the record i do not care about Anthrax toxins - there is a vacinne for anthrax already, there is none for cancer, or did i miss something.
if i choose only to have my machine do cancer research, the good people at the make a wish foundation are disenfranchised, very humanitarian UD

Switch your profiles(as I described in my previous post) and do only cancer on all your devices.
You may have been misinformed about the vaccine(missed something, as you say.) It only helps the body fight anthrax if you get it and it is not reliable at all. When a person gets anthrax, it will only show up on a blood test if it has been in the body's system for long enough to build up a significant amout of anti-toxins. By this time antibiotics are not very effective since the anthrax is beond antibiotic control. UD is working on an inhibitor that can be released into the body in later stages of an anthrax patient and inhibit the spread long enough for an antibiotic or the body's natural anti-toxins to fight off the desease.
The UD cancer research is looking for the same thing for Leukemia. To inhibit the spread of Leukemia and help the body to fight it on the body's schedule, which is a lot slower than the speed of the spread of the Leukemia.
BTW, the Make-A-Wish Foundation is no longer "disenfranchised" since you may now be involved in all or just one of the projects and still donate web miles to them.

thank you to whoever at ud that changed the make a wish rules so that you don't have to participate in all of the programmes to donate.
as i stated before team flashkit is made up of people that are geared to finding a cancer cure, and to misappropriate their cpu downtime without their permission is just rude.
advertise for people to sign up to help find the anthrax serum, then when that project is over offer them the oppourtunity to stay with the programme and choose what research they want to be a part of.
i sympathise with ud, i mean the cost of sending all of those emails would be enormous...

there are 12 mac G4's going idle for about 10 hours a day where i work, it would be nice to get them crunching units.

i'm not getting through many units myself, but i have recruited some of my class mates to help, and now one of my housemates has started a computer training course, so i've given him detailed instructions on how to get ud running in the training center too.
no internet at home though, bummer.
I'd been gone for a bit... the 800MHz wasn't quite enough to work on flash and run the cancer program at the same time.
But this new AMD Athalon XP 1800+, 512DDR RAM, GeForce3 128DDR RAM seems to be holding up just fine. :)
-- and hey, while I'm at it... let's just run the 800MHz as well... every little bit counts!

most of the work units i've been doing till now had got very few hits, if any at all! in the last 7 days or so my hit count has been in the 60's or higher for each unit. i'm 92% done on this one and its at 220 hits. maybe we're gettin closer to a cure?
is anyone else noticing an increase in the number of hits they're gettin?

but to get it running just download this proggie and install it, then the first time it starts up it should ask you to create an account, so just put in your username + password then just click this link ( also at the start of this thread) and it should take you to the FK team page, you might need to login but then you just click "Join team"

hey people can i be a part of two community , like flashkit and some other , will it effect on my pc or membership ?
its 270 hits at just 55% of the task . do this mean success towards the results or pattern which can use for a cure ?

You can only be a apart of one comunity at a time:(
55% means 55% of the molecules in the unit have been checked, and 270 hits means that 270 of the molecules matched and could help lead to a cure.
