rather than drawing in flash you could just scan in your drawn images and trace them using the pen and line tools in flash alot easier I find.

hehe I love the drawing of you! it's way cute! I see that you had just a slight touch of shading... I like how the hair has a light shading to it, perhaps you could do that to the rest of it... but it looks really great! cool, clean style... and the Blind-Eyed Zombie is awesomeness, too! I really like how everything has such a cool cartoon style to it.

hey CDP that tank is awesome!! I notice that the shadow on the ground is lumpy, like it should be on a rocky terrain... perhaps you could add something like that, I dunno, but it looks way awesome the way it is now!! yayy for vectors! ^_^
As for me, I've recently started drawing a new comic in Flash... It'll be a webcomic, but I also have it in a format so I can get it printed in 5x7's for a comic book later on (I'm dreaming sorta, but have great plans!) If I had a jpg of it I'd put it up now, but I'm going to get that part of my site running (for the comic) before I do anything with uploads yet. Otherwise, here are two characters I did during STAR testing week at school (bleah!!!!)

gbillustration, yeah I agree w/ olly that the belly does look a little too lumpy... otherwise, I'd say it looks pretty good!
Olly K, it's cute! hhaha it's one of those armless floating thingees. I'd say for a first attempt, it looks pretty good! Only suggestiond I'd give is that maybe you could add soome more shading... The lighting looks good, but on the skull/mask thing on the bottom of the, eh, the fringy things on the side, perhaps the sides of the top and around the brims of the eye socket hole things it could have some more shading.. hand claw things look good though! hehe interesting, going from photoshop to Flash. Well, just keep on working on it, but I'd say you're doing pretty good! (we want more creature-critters!) lol

Oooh and I love the gradient shading on Fire! and the lightning bold on Ligthning is way too cool!!!!! hehe they're growing on me, all of them. I think it's a great idea to submit them as a set of icons!!! You should do that! BTW I know it's kinda random to ask this here but how do you make icons that have a transparent background? (I know you can make something in MS Paint and name it as something with an ending like .ico or something to the like that makes it a useable icon, but it's always got a white background).

you have to download an actual icon creating program, i think theres a freeware one called Axicons, or something along those lines :/
I dled some program called RPG maker, released by ASCII. Its pretty simle but neat. began making my first ugly games... but since we cant count much on features Im more into storyboards.
Most graphics are already supplied, but u can make ur own, if u have the patience. I began getting the taste now to draw Facesets and monsters. Here are some i created. However they dont match the game's one. So looks weird overall. hehe.

hey Sagess, cool ranger dude. your monsters are interesting, but I think the blade on the first one looks a little... I dunno, maybe it could use a 1-pixel dark(er) gray outline. They look cool though!
Last night I went on a drawing spree and made up a new character, "Spree" (cuz I went on a drawing spree lol and all the drawings were excellent). I thought I'd draw her again in Flash, so here she is... only prob is that I don't like the positions of her legs and the outstreched arm looks a little weird for some reason. Otherwise, I think she turned out well. :)
Nice work Tahn, the legs are out of proportion with the body, they are far too small i think that's whats wrong with them the posistion is fine.
As for her arm I'm not sure what to do, I know what you mean but I can't think how to fix it, the sleeve looks shorter you could try extending that? :D
With my icons things I've got them all in png format, which XP will accept for icons, so i shall post them here for anybody who wants them. But before I try submitting them to pixelgirlpresents I think I've gotta convert them to .ico files. Pooon was kind and sent me a link which I have been playing around with :)

hey sairimmer, I like the style! It's got kinda a cool fun wacky/whimsical style to it. one minor complaint is on the very right, there's space where all the buildings just stopped... might look better if they continued, but like you said, it's part of a scene, so that probably has a point to it (not having graphics in the last 10 pixels or whatever). :) Instresting and intriguing, it'll be nice to see it when it's finished!

sairimmer, cute "heads"... I'd say if you are gonna go w/ round headphones, then the headphone wire should match.. I think they're cool the way they are, though!
the monacle eyepiece on the big bucks guy could be more centered or something, but they all fit their style fine!
Olly K, I downloaded the zip... now (since I just got XP like 2 weeks ago) I've gotta find out how to make the icons! I tried it but it didn't seem to accept png's... oh wait I've got an idea. I'll figure it out!

This one is sort of a clutter of random scraps from my sketchbook...
fiddlestick, some interesting stuff there! I find the arrow power a bit difficult to understand.. it's cool tho, maybe the character could use a bit of shading (even if it is pitch-black shading, it'd look kewl). but oooh teh sketches! I like the guy in the bottom right with the bulging eyes and the + inbetween them... noooiiiiiice shadiing! Very intricate details, too!
OllyK, robot guys are cool, almost look like they're dancing, kinda action-figurey... or going "hey! what/s that on my shoe?" hehehee. I like. I'm still a lil oblivious to XP, and haven't figured out how to use PNG's as icons yet, I've tried various things but haven't succeeded. :(
As for me, I was inspired by a deviant's artwork and I thought I'd try my hand at kinda realism in a painting program. I did 3 drawings this style, but this is the first one, the one that I spent the most time on, and my fav. of the three. so I'll post it. :D

Fiddle, yeah the orange was my original colour scheme for it and th one I had in my mind when I originally sketched it bt i decided to play with other colours too. I kinda like the blue aswell :).

actually it says Smails... which is gibberish... I just wrote it after I messed up on the L in what was suppose to be sleeky.
Edit: Yeah, I know what you mean etahn... I mean, I'm down with the way the left foot (stage left) looks... but the right one just doesn't look right. And yeah, I actually have been thinking about shading it, I'm just trying to devise a way to do it without blending it into the background too much.
Good stuff etahn, it has a nice and smooth aesthetic appeal to it.
This one isn't quite as good... but I still enjoy it plenty's.

I like your new sketchy, the glass is nice... lotsa detaily brainy things! hehe. hmmm the bone thing on the bottom right reminds me of my grandma... well, the way the lips are shaped... (she's missing her upper teeth, :eek: ) I like how rounded your characters are, so you can really draw them from any angle you want. It's a nice style! hehe and the 'shroom thing in the bottom left reminds me (sorta) of Mr. Sock or whatever on super smash bros. melee (dunno if they had it on N64's SSB.) :D
