Excellent shots there miles.
Thanks.
It sucks being back in england for taking photos, I'm into that whole urban aesthetic, flat surfaces, colours and sense of architecture, but england just doesn't have that in the same way, even the poorest mosdern areas have naff textures across the walls, it's rare to find the kind of thing I like to photograph. I'd like to start photographing people more though, so maybe this is that opportunity.
:|
naff?
niiice shots aversion... i like the ones from the airport.
i need to take some more pics soon... theres a place in the country i wanna go tommorow, maybe get some good shots.
Nice things here. . . wow. . .

warao native tribe
just a week back from the Orinoco & the OrinocoDelta, Venezuela.
The Warao native Indians, their villages, the people, the kids, the traditional tribe-ceremonies ...
Great b/w portraits ! .. soon on a post on flashkit near you -
sven
What were u doing on my territory?
nahh just kidding, did u like it? its the most beautifull country man. . .
great, really beautifull, friendly people, .. the country is waaay to big to see it in a few weeks, wish i could go for a year or so ---
where do you live ?
s
ps, just putted a new béta online with some pics from venezuela also--
www.spudio.be //comments please :)-
I lived in Valencia which is near Caracas, (almost 2 hrs by car) lived there for about 20 and something years, right now i have 9 months since i left, and it still hurts (guess it allways will) , did u go to Canaima ? Morrocoy? Las Aves? (the last 2 are really really nice islands i used to go on every break i had), i could go on and on, about it, ill leave it there.
See if i cand find some old pics i had, yours (from your website) look promising, i allways wanted to do that (work with indians) have it all planned for december.
Anyways i think u went on the worst possible time due to the politicall situation, its very cryticall right now, and a LOT of poor people.
yes, the political en economical situation is very dramatic at the moment, although the most indian pple i've met and photographed seemed very "happy" with their current life .. i think that the "non-natives" have more probs to adapt to the current low-period.
it's a pitty actually coz the country itself is actually very rich ( oil, stuff in the ground, ....) and also tourism is getting back on its feet, slowly but it's also a source of income ....
no, didn't went to the canaima falls, they are great, red about it ... but i found it more satisfying to run around those tribes on their lil' boats on the orinoco, i swam next to the pirinha's, crocodiles and anaconda's, amazing, really ....
i did visit that bird cage chuaracho- or something, very impressive .. no pics though, you know why :)-
and, i visited la Restinga on the connection between the two islands on margarita, strange place, great views and lovely animals

do you just go up to those people and take their pics or is it people you know or what?
thnx man, no, i don't know these people ... just "ask" them if i can take a portrait ... "ask" is actually not a right word :)- these people speak some king of spanish-indian dialect.Quote:

Hey ppl here are some work shots, all for the same client a kind of home depot, a big company so, big equipments and big studio :D, i had everything i needed, flashes, cameras, Bg, transparent color for flashes (dunno the name for that in english) it was perfect.
Ok here ya go:
The first 3 were for a calendar, since we had pretty much covered all the months with a campaign the fotos were made with that scheme, u know, the seasons, like rain, vacations, etc.
http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/...atest/FK/1.jpg
http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/...atest/FK/2.jpg
http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/...atest/FK/4.jpg
Those were made with a 35 mm, and yes thats dirt on the neg so i sent them back and got them right this time and the print was perfect.
This was for the same client, a brochure about building products, i was down at a store with a Sony Mavica and had to take a pic of this so i took the needed ones and after that i took this one.
http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/...atest/FK/3.jpg
I have more, ill save them for later
Linking this cause its 800x600, which is sorta big for the forums

awesome stuff guys...i have really been getting excited about photography. does anyone know of a website about photography that is as or nearly as extensive as flashkit.com?
i will be posting some stuff as i get it developed!
Thanks big_k
http://www.photosig.com is a really good site. A good way to learn about photography is to see the work of other photographers. You begin to see what works and what doesn't. I started a thread on portfolio sites that you might want to browse through.Quote:

Are there any other service like this?
