Not bad for a starting image. One thing you will want to do next time (I did it for you this time) is use the [*img] tag to have your image directly in the post instead of as a hyperlink.

I still need to get better on it... just started using it... maybe i might use some 3d stuff next time but i like the way images can end with this...
U know for example how to make a realistic "texture" for a face? for example in one of this battles (gonna search for it) they put HOLES in the face... look so real... want to do that... or (gonna ask orendraen or soemthing was his name) to make a skull look lizard-like :D

Try searching www.Good-tutorials.com . That should give you some insight on layer masking, blending modes and textures. I think i saw one on there that showed how to make someone's face look like a tree. IT should help. Also, just mess with miscilanious tutorials on there to get you to understand and use the various tools photoshop has to their fullest extent.

Eror... the original size is/should be for your image as the originals were - 700x350. Also, it should have some elements, or at least one easily recognized element of the prior image.
You might want to rethink your approach on that last image - very cool image, btw, but the type is too varied and doesn't really flow imho... associated fonts would have made that image a lot better, also better masking on the people dancing, and matching up their shadows and highlights with the light direction of the background image would have played better in your image as well - and try to follow the guidelines a bit closer.
btw, nepzap, you broke the size rule too.

your first one didn't suck... it wasn't the right size nor continued the prior image.
