Why not get a 360 for $299?

That's what I was going to ask. A 360 has been that low for quite a while.

because the 360 has something like a 54% failure rate, and no bluray drive.. and id have to pay for online.
also a huge fan of the gt series so if that ever ****ing comes out ill be good to go.

My PS3 is the most expensive DVD player I ever bought. I honestly dont think blu-ray is here to stay either. Almost all my 360 friends are watching Netflix on theirs, and there is a huge library of HD movies for the 360 on demand as well.

If you want a great online multiplayer experience, get a 360. PS3 online is free, but you get what you pay for. 50 bucks a year is nothing.

The Gran Turismo argument, I'll buy that because its not going to come out on 360. Hell, at this point I'll be surprised if it comes out at all.

I'll buy the failure rate as well, because its true...but people always keep coming back because 360 is where its at.

I will admit that one game: Uncharted, makes the PS3 worth buying.

Uncharted and Killzone 2 multi-player.

this is still a ways away purchasing wise anyways. with football season here ill have less time to game on sundays and mondays.

direct2drive has a **** ton of games for $5, Bioshock, stalker, chronicals of riddick assault on dark athena.

next week will be a new set of games for $5 then the week after that a new set, then the week after that a new set.

$5 for Garrys Mod this week as well.

i was thinking last night how much i really missed playing ultima online. That game was great! It wasnt like world of warcraft where all you did was grind and grind and grind till you had the best gear, you could build a ****ing house, you could customize your outfits, the pvp was fun as hell.

anybody intrested in WoW read the new expansion patch notes? if the things i've heard about it is true....WoW is dead to me after "cataclysm" is out !

gran tourismo 5 finally gets a release date... for Japan March 2010

I want to see if October 1st still stays the release date for the PSP version. Which... isn't getting good reviews online - 6.8 or so at IGN. Ouch.

It's vaporware until I see it on the shelf.

i wish it wasn't ps3 exclusive. Thats one of the game series thats kind of must have for me, but at the same time i want to be able to play games with those of you that are xbox360 only.

Its funny, I've had an xbox for over a year and still don't play xbl with head set et al like I did when I was a PC fps-aholic. I just haven't had that after work game schedule since I went freelance. Maybe with this new job I'll get some of that back but somehow, with a kid on the way, I doubt it.
