New Picture Exchange

Okay, I'm kinda new here. Well not really... I've been visiting this forum for a little over a month and just now decided to join. I work in film production (Movies, TV, Commercial, Music Videos, ect..) and was asked to do an animated intro for a music video I was doing art direction on. I hadn't used my drawing skills professionally since I was in high school. This little project has lead me to me getting back into illustration and subsequently animation.

MelMan you are a F**King genuis. I have gone back through past threads and I really admire your work here and on your web site. I will be posting some of my work here just to see how it stands up to yours.

Bacon Man I love that Cartoon Fox. Your animations are funny as hell. I love the way life just runs him over and he keeps comming back for more.

toony Cool cartoons. Real clean designs.

Anyways I'm rambling, to many words not enough pics. Besides, this is a picture exchange isn't it? Here is a cartoon version of me i sometimes use a my avartar. Also here is a real pic of me to compair. Does it look like me?

I also working on a cartoon for a rapper/comedian friend of mine. I'll be posting images and character desings from that soon as wel as other work. Enjoy.

Thanks Bacon Man. I am doing these animation in Adobe After Effects for release on DVD. I'm just learning how to use Flash, so far it looks like a simpler version of After Effects. Anyway, I gonna start working on a 5 min. short for a preview that will be released on a DVD that will come packaged with my friend album. BTW, here is the album cover I did for him.

Oh yea about the japanese... you were close bacon man. It acually says: Kurisu Gonsarusu (Ku ri su Go n sa ru su). Which is the closes tranlation to my name: Chris Gonzalez. BTW Bacon Man, it was written right to left.

are you sure? the 'sa' sure looks like a 'za'! but like i said, i've only just started, and the writing was small! :D

anyway, heres my characters for a new flash animated series. well, when i say new, i meen new episodes. its still cartoonfox, but now its cartoonfox and friends! :D
anyway, its in the story development at the moment, but the first one should be ready in a month or so!

Bacon man, I'm sure. you see the sa and za symbol are the same except that the za symbol has two little accent marks to the top right of it.

Just some sketches for some characters in a short film of mine I was working on. Maybe I should clean them up and color them or something.

cool you can write your anme in japanese. bacon man, where are you learning japanese from/studying? I know there's something called yesjapan.com and you can pay for tutoring thingees, I just wanted to learn, looked like fun. Galva9, I like your DVD covers! and how the nicely shaded all of Chingo Bing is, sweet style. your other style is interesting as well, nice details and all. have you ever colored one of those in w/ a program? also like the attitude face expressions. hehe.

haha Olly K, like your character witht the axe. "yaaaah, having a bad day, I think I'll smash this axe on whatever's next to me... yaaar... you come next to me you lose yer head." hahah! like how the character has character. :)

Meta_Net, cool anime, except it looks like only the head's in the pic? the pic's large enough to have a whole body, but it only loaded to about the neck. maybe I'll try again later. still, like the anime. the forehead's kinda bare though, maybe you could put a jewel or a head crest thingamabober on there, that would be sweet. :D

bacon man, your self-portrait isn't showing up... :( hahha! I love your characters! NINJA WOLFIEEEE! and then the bear's neat too, as well as the bunny. hehe.

Not really, I mean I've used Photoshop to color the cartoons I've posted but I havent colored any other of my drawings w/ a program.

Here's something I drew a little earlier today. I think I'll turn it into a little flash or animated gif thang.
