I really think that SVG export functionnality would be great... maybe not as compact as a .swf file, but Macromedia would stay ahead of the game... Adobe is betting on this open standard, but since it's a standard and it's open, why not...
My humble opinion...
How about adding cool 3D features,, wherein u can create 3D levels and take the flash gaming area into newer heights
Imagine making games in flash, then, would be so exciting.
Imagine developing a swf version of
HalfLife or Quake or NFS...........all online and with options like multiplayer........
It would be so easier for people who like to develop games based on 3D worlds.
Also how about adding a cartoonish 3D modeelling tool..
Imagine Gordon Freeman with a cartoonish look, carrying cartoonish weapons attacking cartoonish zombies, crabs, soldiers etc.....it would so fun for the players to play..
I hope macromedia is all ears to this.........

my top three wishes of the moment:
1. a way to be able to program an entire movie in one window, without any restrictions. ideally, a sort of bb-edit type editing window.
2. full HTML and CSS support.
3. ability to turn off anti-aliasing on text. (also on graphics more easily. which reminds me - perhaps more options in the preferences for things like this?)

Like full KEY support, ("A-Z" Key.isDOWN) cause you still have to use a stupid ol' button if you want to use the letter or number keys in your game for control. And if someone has their keyboard's repeat rate turned way down, ... jeez, it's a mess.
I'd like to also see built in 3D, like a whole new kind of symbol maybe, like "new 3D object".
And yes, I too would like to see more advanced drawing tools.
But then I'm starting to do all my artwork on paper and scan the images and trace them into flash.
And we could always do with more actionscript commands. I'm delving into programming with Flash, and I can already see some room for improvement.

how about expanding the charset options for loading and parsing XML!? I mean... I'm restricted to just Latin characters? Sorta like having a three legged race horse.
Oh, it's fast, and it may get the job done, but it just doesn't have it all.

I think that an advanced Search and Replace in the Actions pallette would be nice. For example, not only a search/replace function, but the option to search and comment out what is found. This would be useful for quickly commenting out all your trace actions, etc. You could also search and uncomment what is found.
In the actions pallette, how about a feature that allows you to turn any line (or multiple lines) into a comment. So you could select a line or two and just hit a button (or right-click feature) to comment the lines out. The same would go for uncomment. How about a comment/uncomment button? Nice.

Seriously, the seconds timer goes all wrong plus you can't copy and paste frames from the first 5 or 10!
I'd just like to say that I have had one version of Flash or the other since 1999, and my only real wish is that they keep it stable, and don't force too many changes in players on the end users. I can work with certain limitations, as long as my viewers don't give up and go to another type of plugin--because they get sick of downloading updates. 3d be damned--you 3d people can convert your stuff--after all the computer monitor is a 2d medium. It's flat--get a life and learn to see things and convert them to 2d.

It should be a wish list from all Flasher in Asia.
An easier way to import video into Flash. Also, an easier way to get other files to open in their default player. (ie. if you want to link to a quicktime file, an easy way to get it to open in Quicktime and not in Explorer.)
I would really like to see a "Setproperty" for color. Unless I am missing it, I don't see one in 5.
Not sure if this was posted before but I really really hope that Flash 6 will PROTECT our SWFs and prevent software like ASV, SWF Scanner etc to view the codes etc inside. Help us save our hardwork....

oh yea make it much much cheaper!
1.) Tool to convert selected frames into a new movieclip (the same way you can for selected items into a new graphic.
2.) Copy/pasting multiple frames gives option to keep layer names
3.) copy/pasting multiple frames allows you to past block of frames later in same movie (e.g. select fr 1-20 on layers A-C & paste them also in fr 50-69 on layers A-C
4.) Quasi Drop-Shadow effect
5.) Anti-aliased dynamic text
6.) Ability to load HTML, JPG, GIF, etc. into a layer/movie clip the same way you can load SWFs
7.) better selection of multiple frames (i find I can't select non-continuos chunks well without reverting to Flash 4 selection style)
8.) Support for having Flash talk to other Flash movies in other frames/browser windows
1. FTP support! So I can publish right to the web. Oh yeah... FTP support!
2. Improve the preview movie options. Has never worked properly for me.
3. PLEASE don't change the interface to work like an Adobe product just to appease those who only know photoshop and illustrator.
4. Allow #include to compile and run script on the fly. Is that possible?
5. Fill out the HTML publish options to include border widths, scrollbars, etc.
6. Can we eliminate generator and include its features in the flash player somehow?
