I did DT Graphics, I.T, Maths Mechanics and Art.
I'm getting seriously bored with Dt, too much paperwork and pressure and flopped maths so it's art and i.t next year :D
I might do a foundation in art depending witch uni's and colleges accept me, and then i'm on to do a computer animation course, hey maybe i'll meet you in one :D
Yeah so I don't mind if I do a foundation or not really, I never get bored of art, it rocks! :D :)

Melmann, Im glad you like my site man. Its been out for a couple of months now and people seem to like it so its going to stay up for some time. Hehehe.. I will have to think of something better to replace it when I do version 5! hahaha...

i also want to do an (hopefully 2D) animation course.
do you know of any good ones in london? thats where i'd prefer to work, its more exspensive but loads of opertunities when you graduate.
i'm looking at "london metropolitan" and "westminister", but havent found the perfect one yet!
most universities i've seen recomend a-level students to progress through foundation course. they then know that you know the basics of the human and animal form etc.
but, of course it's your choice!

bacon man: best place to look is the UCAS site www.ucas.ac.uk, do a search for animation and it'll come up with a whole list and you can pick those that appeal to you and find the best for you :)
The one's I'm thinking about was Hartbury, cos it looks good and a couple of mates are looking at there too and Bristol cos it''s close and can't remember the other one :/
cdp: it, well it was actually pretty much paper work, you don't get marks for the actual thing you make but you do for all the theory and understanding (proving it and stuff). it's so schools with poor it facilities can still do the course, but it's still fun :). i did an internet project, making a form to collect data from users, but you can do better things.
I didn't do gcse either, but you learn it all over again anyway :D
k thanks for the info olly now im not going into it so blind :), hmmm tooo much talking not enough art i better start thinking of some stuff to do.
a level IT is a doddle... things like mail merge etc...

btw.. something i did in 5 mins, doodleing with my new wacom. i can't seem to draw comfortably with it, but i suppose i need time to get accostumed :)

:) Try roatating it round slightly to a more natural angle (eg. not straight)

yep, i'm already doing this... my prob is that i'm not used to the smooth surface of the wacom. i've tried putting a piece of paper on top and it's much better. i love the friction of normal paper :)
i got a "B" in Igcse art , "A" in As and i'm awaiting my A-level results (i'm doing an international program). anyway i don't think that is the important thing. here, a-levels aren't required to enter an art school/college ( though they're great reference) and i can tell you there lots of guys and gals that draw freakingly well :).Quote:

nice work yeha been ages since i seen any of your work argonauta, the large pic of the babe in the middle is deifnatly the best. Would look kool with some cell shading done to them.

hey guys! long time no post! been overwheleved in school.....
hey wish I could do specifics on everyone, but i loved all the pixel work (label!), mel the thing with the extra legs is weird... haha.
nayades, yeah you do need to get used to it a bit (wacoms, actually I like the smoothness but that's just me!) cool bear thingy.
argonauta, nice sketches there! do you use a manikin model thing? sketch out the body before? or just draw it out and have it the way it turns out the first time you draw it? (confusing sry!) cool dino thingee with the eyeball and big feet. :D
