True enough I guess, I read the 4 pages of debauchery before commenting here and yes, it was a pointless thread where some of the more senior members from here should really know better. I don't condone what was said, that's between the people involved in the w-h thread.

I still feel that the atmosphere at w-h isn't as good in many ways and it's certainly much less welcoming for "newbies" as FK.

I have seen a few posts recently where FK is seen as a novice site and w-h is the domain for the "mature experts" and it's not necessarily true.

As for the posting crap all over the show, I think that's where the differences lie, at FK the mods tend to close it down and nip it in the bud where as at w-h you're deemed a punter and a 4 page slagging match ensues ...

(in case anyone missed it I'm a member, MOD even, at WH. I'm not hiding.. lost my password a time ago)

It might seem that way. It's just that we have had some bad experience with ppl from FK joining WH. A lot of you guys are probably ok and all butI guess it's a select few who have ruined it.

For instance this OMEGA_FROM_FLASHKIT kid, yes I'm using names, joins WH and immediately starts 3-4 threads. Mainly about how much of a clueless pothead he is. I don't have anything against ppl smoking weed (Hey I'm from Holland :D) but he seems to have taken it to another level or something.

I think ppl like that ruin it for the others mainly.. I know we can be a pretty tight group but newcomers with a good attitude are truely welcomed :)

Fair enough ... There are always a select band of muppets wherever you post, it's the same on the number of boards I'm a member on too.

Luckily, the number of people who contribute to the boards in a good way far exceeds the bad members so normally these sorts of thing only crop up every now and again :) and they get blown out of proportion because it doesn't happen that often.

The fact of the matter is that both are resource sites, try some other forums other than the coffee lounge or just conversation and you might receive a warmer welcome than if you just go to post crap.

Both FK and WH have cliques and in-jokes. Problems arise when people try and muscle in on conversations, don't get the humour and throw hissy fits.

There should be more understanding amongst communities.
I for one am a member of Were-Here and have enjoyed time spent there.

There is no need for open hostility of any sort.
All I have to say is the guilty parties are lucky I wasnt on line yesterday or heads would have rolled!

We're Here has their fair share of punters too. I won't judge your site based on a few of your members, I hope you will do the same. :)

I have seen posts where Aaron (WH admin) has posted very positive things about FK. I can't speak for everyone, but I think the general feeling over there is can't we all just get along. I don't have a problem with any of you, and I have come to visit your site before (didn't post until the tennis match conversation started though).

Someone else uses the screen name Jenn here (and I am just not original enough to come up with a new one), so that's why I picked the name I did (we had a visitor-OMEGA_FROM_FLASHKIT, so it's a play on that), not to cause any hard feelings. I suppose I didn't realize there was any animosity between the sites until reading through some of the threads here. So I hope none of you are offended.

My original intention was to trash talk (just to get the competition going) about how we are going to stomp on FK for the tennis match... but after reviewing some of the comments (this thread in particular), I changed my mind.

However, I will say I am very excited to see what comes out of the match. I feel it's definitely a building block to bring the communities together. :D
