I think what they mean when they say improve it yourself is that in these boards, people dont just fix things, they try to teach the people who are having problems how to fix them. You can't just dump your project in the board and expect it to be fixed.

What you had wrong was the checkpoints code. You can't check for point 2 when point 1 isnt checked first.

I also added a 'hit' mc inside the finishline mc because the way that you were testing it was the bounding box of the finish line which was on an angle. Therefore that isnt correct.

Anyway, hope it's what your wanting.

I have changed it a little but i am not sure how i can make it more colourfull/realistic...
also i need to know how i can make it so thaT the car is restricted to the course given and not got outside it????

Maybe... you know, you can say "thank you" or "please." I'm not trying to add to the fire-storm, but it's a thought.

After reading through the whole thread I would say that much of the annoyance originate from Tizer's first post. At least that's my view. Tizer, you have made a lot of "I need this done!!!!!!!!" posts*, and those are NOT popular here at Flashkit, least of all in the Games section. In some of your posts, your don't seem to ask questions or want help with specific problems, it's more like you view Flashkit members as your employees and assign tasks to them. Try to be a bit more "friendly", and 99.9% of the members will be friendly back. I promise.

What you could do is make the car look more realistic. Make it look like a nice car. Have the road darkish grey with white lines on the outside of it (if its just a big lump of road, then make it textured a bit. you can also do that with the road). Where you have cones, make them orange (or whatever they look like where you live). add grass, not just the colour green, but textured.

not go off the road:
make a grass mc, and do a hitTest with that, if the car hits the grass, then the collision and reaction happens. btw: if you do that, you will need to detect points around the car, not the bounding box.

Now i agree with you guys Tizer has been rude on these fourms.

But before we start moputhing back and banning him right away or so we should at least tell him the rules and stuff he should and shouldent say if he keeps up with it then he should get punished for a bit.

Yeah and also I have been on the Kirupa Fourms and sorry to mention this but they are alot more nicer than most fourms espically thjis one.
