Ah, interesting. Didn't Nevil from Theory7 put out something for content management as well? I can't remember if he did or not, but it should make for a very interesting release anyhow. Will propod.com be released at the same time with another project that actually showcases the backend technology to good use? I'm just curious if we'll actually be able to see this thing in action?

Is ProPod what's driving the new roadrunner site?
ProPod won't be driving the new site, Flash and ColdFusion are what's driving the site. If the ProPod scripting is incorporated in the flash, you won't notice it, bar the fact that other sections of the site will load quicker.Quote:

ProPod is just a very clever piece of preloading script, that loads parts of the site in the background, before you even visit them.
This loopha and hoopla is rather redundant. But if nothing else, there is the slight scent of good marketing in the air.

Internally we called Road Runner "Propod" which is generally the name we use internally when we make any technology or system etc...We have used it since 1999.
What is on the Road Runner beta link is Road Runner, A Broadband Platform.

I made it clear some months ago that Propod would not be launched until 2004.
Hope this clears things up as the truth be known we have no intention of hyping Propod.com to everyone as it will strictly be quality over quantity and that implies to its members above anything.

I work full time as a webmaster, I have a degree, but I don't have a degree in 'web design', nor any specifically related qualifications.

no idea how it's defined, quite a few places do it now, make you apply, show some URLs etc before you're accepted.
