Goggles : a flash flight sim

Everything you said could be true, but I don't feel there is room (and I don't want the room) on a technical discussion forum like this to expand on frustrations between regular posters. I could have said: "those numbers can't be true if the idea of putting the airplane in the google maps API is unoriginal", but I didn't, and that was not a personal thing to you, but my nice way of expressing things.

im not going to get into the middle of this so instead...

if youre going to make your plane a vector/bitmap based graphic, try putting in some details !!(especially for bitmaps though) the amount of time you spend on these kinds of things will really show in your flight sim (that was an excited exclamation btw, not an angry one :D)

btw,shadows do get bigger as you're farther away from the ground, its just that things look smaller when you get higher up as well, "correct" shadowing would be a bit hard, as the you'd have to know the distance to the Sun, which is a pretty big number (since the Sun is so far away, the shadow would grow less than, say, indoors)

actually, correct shadowing just needs some trig in there, wouldnt be so hard

Very nice game and excellent idea!. I just think there would be a use for the bullets (or not having bullets at all) and that maybe the whole map could be loaded from the beginning and not as you fly over. Excellent job! :thumbsup:
