Dear Flashkit,
We've had a wonderful six years. But seeing as how I'm quitting the internet entirely I fail to see how we could ever make it work like we use to. The internet has become such a wild and crazy place, a place for the young at heart, a place where people can be born anew everyday if they wanted to. Its this whole idea of a millions of nameless gods that I'm no longer use to, its some crazy vision of Neal Stephenson's or Gibson's has somehow become an all too lurid reality. I feel as if I'm hitting the fast forward button on my life and yet not realizing that I'm skipping over the best parts, like the time I fast forwarded through Back to the Future II just to watch the artistic portrays of alternate realities. I was in reality missing all the cultural artifacts of the late 80's embeded into the movie. Yeah, Michael J. Fox was pretty awesome. Goodbye flashkit, for as Tarkovsky has once said "I wanted to take off my shoes and take a stroll, so that I could go out and feel the cold earth on my feet"
I will always remember the day flash 5 came out and the torrent of creative mana that flowed from it's members.

Flashkit isn't for everyone. Although we try to accommodate as many as possible.
Sometimes in the act of accomodation for some we alienate others. It isn't our goal. It just happens. What may be tolerable for one can be intorerable for others.

Dunno. I know you didn't post much, but I know when you posted, I read what you said. Take care... if anything, I understand how might feel about how Flash is no longer your muse. Trust me, I've used Photoshop for 14 years. Somehow, it's still yet to have lost it's inspirational ability on me.
Anyway, good luck on all of your endeavors. If anything I feel like I'm losing a cool person.

Oh yeah - my name's Julian and my goal is to make enough money to have enough left over to feed and clothe my kid after I've paid all the bills.
Not a great goal, but one's expectations of life are reduced once you take on board the reality that you are not likely to be a rockstar, rocket scientist, Tour de France winner, etc.
If you're interested, I am currently in the position to achieve this goal.
Next up, finishing Liberty City Stories - yeah, way behind, but such is life.

I agree, but to say that you know someone well and then go on to say that you wouldn't trust them not to hurt people is something that walks the edge of humor and might be misconstrued. Rather than take a chance on Nats being labeled as a danger to society I'll go ahead and take the hit of looking like an idiot who feels he needs to explain what need not be explained. :)
