I wonder how many people that complain about gun control laws have actually shot a gun? It's stupid to complain about something you know nothing about. Sadly it's true. Gun control laws should be tightened on those that get them illegally...but thats the point they get them ILLEGALLY, so...there just gonna go though the system now to get it legally...We all know better than that.

Seriously, I've never owned a gun, have only fired a gun once - my redneck uncle's shotgun. I'm not into guns. But I don't see the point in outlawing them at all, and I respect the fact that the overwhelming majority of gun owners are normal, law abiding citizens. There are a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone else. By principle, I don't agree with policies that attempt to punish the masses because of the irresponsible few.
Aye, but thats what it is Visionray. "Majority rule, minority rights" One person gets offended so we all got to suffer. Just like that "under god" thing. If the supreme court would have been forced to rule it would have been taken out. It took so long cuz they wanted to find a loophole to get out of on the ruling, would have pissed of alot of people cuz of one step-father that got offended FOR his son and his son didn't really care. How this world goes it seems. Or the US atleast

Actually, two years ago we had a bear enter the yard and my kids were also in the yard. That was the first time that I ever though about taking on a bear without a gun (I had a knife on me and that was all), not something I want to think about again.
The first part of that story is funny EVP, the second is a bit worrisome.

The weapons used in the massacre were legally obtained.
The assailant did not have a criminal history. He was entitled to purchase the weapon. At one time the 19 round clip was illegal however the law expired.
For all the talk of gun laws not removing illegal guns on the market. Legal guns were used.
It's not the only massacre were legal guns were used.

EG someone legally bought the guns for the kids.
Also remember most illegal guns in the U.S. were once legal..
Hard to understand what's going on in these people's heads... Why does someone goes into classrooms and kills dozens of innocent people?
I really don't think it matters if the guns were obtained legally or illegally. If he didn't buy them legally he would have gotten some illegally. Even if it was illegal to own any type of weapon, people would still get them.

As a legal owner of guns, that's been trained to use a gun... it's funny how a gun is the last thing I think about whenever it comes down to protecting my house.
I've been threatened in this house before... and now with my father gone, the threats have now become a totally different item... I do the protection for my mother, not my father. When it was just me... hell, take the gadgets, leave the computers, take the money, take everything else for all I care.
Now? I'm in a different situation where it's my family that would have to be protected... and you're going to feel pain real quick if you place me in that situation.
Now... for the people saying that if the crook didn't have a fun, you wouldn't either. What do you people die of with harsher gun laws?
Actually... forget that. Let's just say people still happen to die because the crook possessed something that was deadly. Outlaw knives yet? Outlaw swords yet? Outlaw blunt objects yet?

Instead the crooks in your country still rob people. I've been held at gunpoint in Turkey, knifepoint in the UK, France, and Germany... I've been threatened by a homemade bomb in the Ivory Coast... and I've been on the other side of an angry ass dog while in Italy.
I've seen gun crimes in countries that don't really even allow them. I've seen guns in Japan.
It still happens no matter how "hard" your laws are. Otherwise, you are declaring publicly that your system works "all of the time"... and stats declare otherwise.
Everytime you tell a little story about your trips overseas just makes me want to contact a film studio more so we can make your life into a mini series.
Saying: "well if no one owned guns this wouldn't have happened" is asinine.
The gun exists and nothing can change that, you cant put the cat back in the bag.
Getting rid of all guns cant be the answer, even if aliens came here and transported all the guns into the sun i would just go into my garage and build another one.
There are thousands of ways to kill allot of people quickly, the gun is just the most convenient way.
