Did you read this thread? MediaDefender are criminals. They used DDOS attacks against torrent sites, they lied to their own clients, they uploaded modified copyrighted media to torrent sites without asking the copyright owners first, they used a zombie-PC network to attack torrent networks ... and much more. If you start fighting criminals with illegal practices, than you're a criminal yourself.

Trust me. I have better information than anything in this thread. But, I have read it also.
When people are charged with crimes, there is a public record of it. Show me some evidence that they have been charged with any crime (that isn't a lie set up to bring in ad hits) and I will agree that they have done something illegal.
As it is, the FBI is investigating the people that hacked into MediaDefender. They are not investigating MediaDefender.

Do you not see the hypocrisy in that statement in the context of an entire thread practically jumping with glee about an illegal hacking of a company?
It is illegal to steal private communications without permission. That communication is just as contraband as any other information or data that is illegal in many countries. Since you have posted it here, FlashKit is essentially hosting contraband data. I doubt anything would happen to them at this point. But, you never know. I'm pretty sure that it would make them civilly liable if someone wanted to pursue it.

I don't know that much. But, I think you're right about the inside job. I don't know much about hacking. But, it seems like it would have to be involved in order to be able to record phone conversations.
Anyway, sorry if I'm acting the grumpy grandpa here. We all have our peeves and I know you are down on the MPAA, etc. Actually, I am too. I just think this is going way too far. :)
