4-2 Rangers, Lindros with two, bure with one and some helpers..:) Blackburn with a great game, made some good saves, and was solid thoughout when they needed it the most. He's gonna be great, has a great mental attitude too.

sad thing is, East is so much worse than the West, our 8th place team is approx. 10 points behind your 8th place team. If Dallas and the other teams fighting for the playoffs were in the East, they would all be in it, lol:D
SJ wins too...they played Kiprusoff, another great goalie, him and Nabby are great, both fairly young talented goalies. He played amazing, and a well deserved rest for Nabby.
Col loses to Phoenix, entertaining game, Roy loses his cool, tosses some sticks, misses a penalty shot, takes on a ref, gets ejected, <---hmm, never seen that before:p
All in all, entertaining night in the hockey world:D

yea im a dallas kid myself.
mavs kick arse to let u know. ;) basketball got interesting when the mavs actually had a winning record.
the stars i watch cause of the champions who are respectable... modano, hull (gone :(), langenbruner, gosh... i cant even name them all. the stars deserved a better season, or @ least modano did, but it hasnt gone their way, theyve lost the touch, the will to keep winning. sad. the end of greatness. the may have never won that many championships (1 is hard enough), but i always respected the way they played, how they always worked hard, and u dont hear about them going to get drunk every weekend. more than u can say for other sports and other teams.

I understand how you feel about the Stars, Cap ... seems their downturn began with the departure of Hull :( Hull leaves 'cause of Hitch, then Hitch is gone :confused:.
I won't let myself believe they've lost their touch ... I believe they'll regain the fluidity of their game, but even Champions have it tough and it will make their next giant win that much sweeter, eh? :D
Part of the reason I love the Stars players so much is that my boy can look up to them as athletes (minus, you know - the violent stuff on ice ;) ) ... they conduct themselves well off ice ... they are not the bane of our town's existence ... they are not the blacksheep of our city. They represent us well.
We were lucky enough to meet a few of them a year or two back and my son got to see - they are just people, too - they're friendly and they're respectful of others and they are *not* (and don't have to be) like several of the other athletes we've had the misfortune of running into.
And of course, as I write this, I know that Hockyfan is sitting there just waiting, itching to yell out, "What about Belfour?! Huh?! What about that guy who everyone calls 'Crazy Eddie'?" ... Well, Hockyfan ... every family has one, eh? ;)

haha My son don't take the short bus, Hockyfan ... He used to love Belfour until he saw he was arrested ... ever since then ~ he's been rather unforgiving of his play.

We lost to STL in OT ... Avs game up Friday <crosses fingers> We're still not completely out of the running for the playoffs <crosses toes> ...

i'm a fan. penguins are my team. but i like others aswell, mostly thanks to the star players. haha, i can remember i saw my first nhl game last year. a friend was nice enough to send me a tape with the pens vs toronto on it. i was sooooo amazed by the immense skills these guys have! you can't compare it to what we see here in the dutch league! it made me sure i really really really need to go to the states or canada once to see some real action!
Stars beat the Avs tonight 3-1 ... Belfour really came to the dance and did a great job - he made some monster saves.

I dunno..he's kinda a crybaby, but i have respect for him since he does have the most wins. I think he's coming to an end of his great career. It's sad, i'm willing to bet major $$ if Hasek wasn't stuck on teams that consistently rely on their goaltender, he would have that wins record.Quote:
