I noticed that on the toons/gallery pages, there were no back buttons to return home. Other than that, it is a nice concept.
Hey all,
AS you can see im brand new here, could you have alook at my site,
www.wellingonline.co.uk
I would love for some pointers and any designs defects of my site at the momment. And recommendations for what i can do to it would be great thanks
James
Hi JamesU2. Nice easy to read page. The only thing i'd suggest is to edit the HTML file and change all width references to 100% instead of 1024px,, that way the page will scale to any screen resolution, most people are on 1024 but a lot of people still use 800X600, especially people with sight problems and it really is a pain to have to scroll sideways. The only other comment is to change the spelling of "Bare" to "Bear" in "bear with me,, "bare with me" sounds like an invite to a streakers club lol. Cheers
I could find nothing wrong and I assume the buttons do not work yet. But since we are on the bare thing, You could have a link to some bare women.:D  (just kidding).
James,
Was that table made on a bad copy machine? The text color is bleeding all around the text; gives your site a sloppy look. Consider redoing the table directly in your HTML doc, or do it in another program and cut-and-paste.

I updated my KM site.
It's very basic. Just let me know what you think of it.

Looks great Mr. Brants! :D The "contact me" kinda throughs it off though, since the rest of your site looks so clean. I like the idea though, maybe if the writing looked a little cleaner I think it would go great.Quote:

Loaded real fast and the images were crisp. I have enjoyed your tuts in the past.:)
I have a few sites that I used Kool Moves to make. They are being updated as you read this and should be completed by the end of the month.
http://www.southerncustomspaint.com
and
http://www.choppster.com
I also used Kool Moves on my family home page
http://www.odaniell.com
the welcome/splash page is Kool Moves, and if you enter site 1, I used it on the menu with the floating bubbles. If you enter site 2 and surf around, I used it in the music room on the second floor, and several other places.
If you do go to site 1, a pop-up window will appear after you've viewed the site with a bunch of heads on it that you can make sing.
I got all of the files to do those things off the kool moves support and freebie sites, and would like to thank those people who created the originals.
My biggest problem is getting small enough music files to stream instead of using .wav files on the page loads. There isn't enough Kool Moves info to help teach me this stuff. These are the first sites that I've ever built and I am using Front Page.
I am open to all help and suggestions.
Thanks
RickyO

dxh-studios v3 is now up, fully designed with km 4.4.4, check it out!

Hey Drew - looks good and loads well over cable. Just curious? Hows it loading over 56K? I don't have dial up so I can never test these things.
I'll look forward to when it's done (portfolio) and will keep checking it.
Rick
Looks great, nice job! :DQuote:

oh well thx, I’ve tried it on many computers with many connections, like 56k, Dsl, Cable t1 and t3, and for a 56ker load times can be up to about 2 minutes, lol. Not a site for those 56kers out there. But thank you for having interest in the new dxh v3 interface.

But just to inform you, it looks great using IE. When browsing with FireFox 0.9.1 like I normally do, the page layout was wrong. As a result of that the flash movies became so small that the text was almost unreadable.
yes, that’s why the site requirements say best viewed with internet explorer 6.0. Other problems like that will occur in a mozilla browser as well.Quote:

Hi,
I work in a primary school, and last term I did a maths game for the children (key stage 2, age 7-9ish) which you can see here:
http://www.geocities.com/t_clist/circlon.html
It's a bit rough around the edges, and my lack of actionscript competence means the player has to keep a manual score, but the children like it.
All feedback welcome, especially from anyone under 12!
Seems to me that keeping score is not that hard if you make the answer a variable.Quote:

I have tinkered with actionscript a bit (and made rudimentary .fun things) but I couldn't get it to work reliably (I'm not sure of things like spacing and where line breaks go even having read tutorials). So I probably will go back to it, but recently I just wanted to spend my time on making content.
Oh, go on, someone give me some feedback. Please?
It features a man in a banana costume
Well I'm over 12, LOL, but I found it nice and interesting. Keep up the good work. :DQuote:

Thank-you O Great One!
Always good for the ego, praise :)
Hi folks,
I am redesigning my website with koolmoves. I am not done yet but would like some feedback and suggestions on how it's coming. I am very new to koolmoves so I need all the help I can get. Someone is sending me a book on action scripting so maybe I will have more cool stuff on the page later.
Please check it out:
http://3dfrog.com/wips/km/froggy.html
I hope you like it. Nothing spectacular yet.
You can compare it to how my current html page is by going to www.3dfrog.com
Thanks
Looking good so far Dennis. :D
thanks to certain folks here I'm starting to get the hang of KM and the site is starting to take shape

Hello all,
I have returned to using KM after a long time.
I have just completed this site for a client, http://www.helsinkibar.co.uk
I'm currently working on my portfolio in KM.
Hope you all like it.
Nikesh
Nice I love the way the vector graphics sort of slide together.
It's nearly ready now. Comments please.
Note the video is still being encoded with trial version of Flix and the photo, and interactive examples are not ready yet but everything else pretty much is working.

Looks great Bret! :D When we'll we see some of your film work?Quote:

Looked at this morning on a 56k modem. liked the bouncing ball. When I clicked on the "cine", there was an x thru the video. And did you make the player or is this the Flix that you were talking about? The pics all come in crystal clear. I was wondering if you took all the pics. Nice site!!!Quote:

how was the loading time on 56k?
It's all modular so should load pretty well. The video has the X because I haven't registered Flix yet, still deciding on that.
You can see my film work now on the old site but as soon as I get the kinks out of the new site I'll register Flix and start encoding the video clips.
Thanks for the feedback.
(the streaming video player was done by my brother using Flash MX 2004 everything else is KM)
I have just recently discovered this resource for flash, and koolmoves in particular.... I am still trying to figure the program out, but did use it to create the website at:
http://www.point19.net
I know that there are some bugs, but would like assistance with finding them and rectifying them.
Thanks,
