Hope you don't plan on skating by on the first round (Lord knows I won't be :scared:). I'm gonna put up a fight for all the new guys out there.

march madness is the ultimate FK-arena throwdown, and even making it past the first round is an achievement... especially against fearless.
im not sure if this has been asked, but how does the pairing order work this time around? is it based on post count (high vs. low then meeting in the middle?)
on an unrelated note, another reason I love march madness is because of the strategic value of the competition. if you've been in the arena long enough, you begin to see the artistic traits of each of the regs.
since you've got a harsh first pairup groupof1, I'll give you some background on fearless.
fearless is one of FK's 'Goth wondertwins'... he (she? sorry I was never told) can take just about any stock and make it dark/gothic. if fearless gets given a picture of a person as the stock, fear can make it work inside the image like nobody else I've seen in the arena. fears strengths (imho) are texturing, composition, lighting, and also pretty damn good at typography. fear is a great all-rounder when it comes to using the elements of photoshop, and is always ready to surprise unsuspecting victims with an unexpected change of style. if fear had a weakness (imho) is in the past I have seen fears style changes and they usually come out slightly less mindblowing then his dark/gothic work, and sometimes fear has struggled to make intended realistic compositions (such as putting a stock of a person in an image) look convincingly realistic... however I havn't seen fears work in a long time, and I'm sure he has improved these aspects greatly since last I have seen.

the majority of weight put on seeding is with postcount in the arena. However there are other factors including past MM performance (particularly ctrant & flashlight in the final 2 last year makes their rankings go to the top), a little bit of weight on image quality posted in other threads, and overall arena participation (just posting "hey that looks great" isn't as good as posting an image). And the rest is super secret mod stuff that no one will ever know.Quote:

All stocks were hand picked by myself and another moderator here. They were handed out completely at RANDOM. If you don't like your stock, sorry. You'll just have to be creative.
I didn't even know what stock i was getting until i received my own PM.
For you n00bs (just in case), you need to use at least one part of the stock sent to you. You can use as many other stocks from other stock photo sites as you wish. Remember when voting begins, you'll be judged by your peers, so do whatever you feel will win the votes (no R-rated material, please ;) ).
