Was on myspace looking for UK electronica bands and came across these guys. Seem pretty decent. Been listening to them on my headphones while I write some papers.

What have you all been listening to lately? Mostly it has been electronica for me. A big dose of Younger Brother for the most part.

I been listening to the new Metallica. Some songs actually do have that "Ride the Lighting" feel as they promised. Not a great album but about 3 minutes into some songs you actually catch yourself deeply into it.
i lost my fk'n ticket to the bris gig. :xbones:Quote:

Welcome to the board zompo. Very cool video. Makes me want to get back in to 3d.
Boards of Canada!? Wow... that's an oldie. Campfire Headphase is definitely worth listening to as well, imho.
The Foreign Exchange "Leave It All Behind"
Ulrich Schnauss "Far Away Trains Passing By"
MF Doom "Operation: Doomsday" (re-release)
Flying Lotus "Parisian Goldfish"

Boards of Canada is always in my rotation. I enjoy all of their cd's. I actually have some live tracks by them and their "Old Tunes" collections are good. I recommend it all.
I just got a bunch of albums I'm trying to listen to:
Jocelyn Pook - Untold Things
Mandalay - Instinct
Scott Weiland - 12 bar blues
Emilie Simon - la marche de l'empereur
Emiliana Torrini - Me and Armini
Death Cab for Cutie - Narrow Stairs
Anoice - remmings
School of emotional engineering - school of emotional engineering
Microfilm - stereodrama
The bad plus - prog
Ximena SariƱana - mediocre
Radiohead - Amnesiac
we should probably just close this thread at this point. That comment was provocative and not really called for, tone down the rhetoric please.Quote:

Search iTunes iMixes for "Folk Blues Classics"...the album with Taj Mahal, Slim Harpo, James Cotton and many others is AWESOME. Friggin Awesome.
Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand In Mine. I love that song.
Totally forgot about Infected Mushroom so they are now on my playlist and I am trying to get my hands on a Celtic Cross album to check out.
I guess I am still hung up on this electronica phase but need new material. What do you all have cycle through when you're in a electonic mood?
An electronic mood? Aphex Twin, Leila (I just re-discovered her remix of Aaliyah's We Need a Resolution), Squarepusher, Bogdan Raczynski, Matmos, Savath and Savalas, Kid 606, Four Tet etc...
Songs from the Sparkle Lounge !

Def Leppard have got the old sound back !
I'm listening to the trance queen Cascada...
And to the mexican band belanova, too.
My gf showed me Lady Sovereign over in London and I got a little hooked. Her track Love me or Hate me is catchy and her videos are goofy and she is pretty cute. but it is pretty hip pop.

I saw SquarePusher live. It was more of a clubby set but that was definitely what the venue was known for so it fit the crowd. I still enjoyed myself and can't believe I was moshing to SquarePusher. Who knew...
I'm listening to the soundtrack of 'Caotica Ana', most of it is by Jocely Pook (she did some of the music of Eyes Wide Shut). A haunting album, it's really one of the best soundtracks I've ever listened to. And the movie is really good, too

It's a great mix, imo. Found lots of new music I hadn't heard before there.
Sarah Brightman. She has some awesome vocal chords.
A friend introduced me to DJ Rectangle yesterday. Some really good mashup work.
