...so is Ghana. Uruguay win on penalty shootout and Ghana, the final African country is out. It was a dramatic last few minutes with extra time, a deliberate handball in the goal mouth and a missed penalty as a result.

David, no bad feelings for Australia. Argentina is wiped out with a similar result by Germany. I have a suspicion that Germany plays against Holland in the final game. It would not be the first time. Germany go :thumbsup:

ah, so the final competitors are decided. Spain over Germany with a 73rd minute goal to win the match 1 - 0 ...and now for Spain v Netherlands.
If Spain win they will have a rare double - European championship + World cup in the same year.

I did not find it boring. We had a little brunch party with some people over. Spain well deserved to win, a great team. I should say: See you here again in 4 years.
