hello again,
If anyones interested heres a link, copy paste it, to some animations of the ninja character I posted a drawing of a few days ago.
Maybe it shouldnt be in the picture exchange but I thought you might wanna see her in action. The file plays in the browser but is supposed to be 550 by 400 but I dont know how to keep it that size, wathcing it full screen slows it down a little.
Please post any comments or critiques.

Mel - great as ever! :D Two things about that guy though, one horn looks far bigger than the other (maybe thats intended?) and one foot looks a lot smaller than the other. But he's still cool :)

I tried to scan in some of my sketches for you all to see, but it appears my pencil is too light for the scanner :(
so in my book it remains never to be seen by anyone but me.....
take a photo of your work wiht a digi cam, works for me not great for doing computer graphics but means people cna see your work.Quote:

i'll do that tommorow for peeps :), though don't expect too much, they're normal sketches not Melmann "sketches" :p
hey olly did you adjust the brightness and contrast levels of your scan? you should be able to pick up even really light drawings.
Oh right I didn't know you could do that, I'll try iit thanks :)
btw, camera with flash on doesn't work, same as scan, camera with flash off, goes all grey and blergh. I adjusted the brightness on the computer but it went all blue. I'll try the scan again and if it don't work post the blue one.
Was playing around with Photoshop Blending settings, I never knew they were so effective...

rob, nice pics. I like the second var of the first pic, it's cool... sweet blending modes too, yeah they can be lotsa fun!
fersteger, I like the anim! looks like it'll be a cool game! nice details and anims.
abut the shading, I've been practicing shading a lot lately too-- what I do is have an imaginary light source, 3 shades (light, neutral and dark) and imagine the character is 3D, then draw lines for the shading, color it in and then delete the ines, making it smooth. finished up Spencer: version FIIIIIRE!!!! last night. hehehe. (burn baby, burn!)

thanks melman, no where near as good as your stuff, but i need to get used to using markers :D
i dont think it can replace animation for me...but maybe...:)

the make of the markers is "magic marker" (studio colours) but at £5 each, its gonna cot you a bit! :D there are a few other good makes as well. make sure they're designer ones (as in "concept desinger", not desinger clothes lol :D)
the pics you see all have a white pencil, just shaded on top of the marker (once dry) but i'm gonna try and use some white "designer gouache" to add really shiny highlights for corners etc (instead of the blury, smudgy pencil white)
