Have you ever looked into perspective? because your chess set is flat, but then the pieces are ahhh kinda up against it-- there are some really great perspective wegsites-- and trust me, once you learn it you can't go wrong (unless you hate dealing with straight lines and rulers, like me)... hehe!

I've been into flash ever since, originally as a means of putting off my revision at school where I was doing technology and fine art (graphics or multimedia weren't really encouraged) and now helping me to earn pennies with the odd bit of freelance.

What are you using for these vectors? Im loving the way your approach your shading.
I do a rough line drawing in flash then a 'better' line drawing using the pencil tool, and then fill color ... then i take it into photoshop and get the balance right, add a layer of shading and a layer of highlights, as well as the odd gradient & the background
Sounds like quite the process.
Still, kick ass work :thumbsup:

I only looked at the paper a few times to match some lines, most was drawn whithout looking at it. After that I used prismacolors and acrylic for the background. maybe the acrylic wasn't a good idea....
