Very nice job chordmasta. I like the colors a lot and the texture on the face as well as the bubbles (red stripes).
Nice concept chordmasta. I also love the texture on the face. Keep up the great work.
Very cool. Vectored Trees in the background?
tell me what u think on that:

someone make a volley only page ;)
:) :)
so what do u think about the image?
rbs nice concept and color. very nice use of type also, but I would have made the "rbs" text on "the fight continues" white so it balances a little bit more with the image, you know like the handle on the pistol. for some reason the drop shadow on the flame looking things look a little too hard maybe because the pistols don't have them. but in the end you have a very well and sweet designed drop. excellent job.
rbs: I'm just giving you my two cents.
Peace.
thank u for the comment nepzap.
rbs, I like the florettes even though they look like they may have been stretched a bit too far. Not a big fan of using the shadow feature in PS though.
Nice use of type but I think you forgot an "s".
I think the dots are a bit much for my taste too. I like the idea you were going for here though, all in all nice work. I am nit picking you know.
cool effect on the gun. i would have used something other than B/W on the right though

see u around.... :)
Glad you like it nep. :)
Thanks rbs, it was more of an experiment than anything. :p
I have a really strong feeling that our battle in March Madness will be very very close.Quote:

Bummer man. If you're in high school, then I'm sure you'll find someone else. If you're in college, then she wasn't worth it ;).Quote:

nice! i considered going but nothing immmediately came to me. This is the greatest thread in the history of threads
I second that.
MM 3 is only 20 pages or so behind, and hasn't been open nearly as long.. Uh oh.. QUICK, KEEP POSTING IMAGES :P.
Awesome work Nep, I like how you did the smoke. I tried to add smoke to an image, but it is such a bother. I can see you're definately a cut above my level ;).
DaVulf
dude all you have to do is get a brush at say 1 or 2 pixels and apply some curvy lines manually and then use the Gausean Blur filter then lower the opacity of the layer a bit. I'm sure there are other ways, but this one worked for me. And as far as this image is concerned:
I was experimenting with The Blur/Smudge Brush and the Smart Blur Filter and Burn/Dodge Brush.
I'm trying to see if I can get those images to glow a little, I think I over did it with this one, that effect has to be subtle, But I'm close to figuring it out.
You know like those images that ctranter puts up sometimes and gerbick just to name a few.
I just saw your battle with Natsia, see the image with the font that says Dream you know the one with the girl and the dragon fly wings. here...
Thats one of the glows that I'm trying to achieve on my images.
Very sweet Volley by the way
I'd like to make another volley. Which picture is the last one? Is it the one with a cigarette on this page?
Fishtank:
Nepzap's image (the one with the smoking monk) is the most recent. You can build off of that one if you'd like.
Lefteye explained this to me. You make a duplicate layer above the original, gaussian blue (about 4), layer mode to 'Soft Light'. Tends to work out well. I've gotten some really cool effects (check the Zen image from that same thread) by using the same method, but setting the blend mode to 'Darken'.Quote:

Thats a long volley time here in the Kung Fu thread. Its usually just a day turnaround.Quote:

Yes you should volley off of that one.Quote:

Hey creative so are you going to go on a threesome with Dri and my self?
Unless you two are hot chicks, i'll have to pass on the threesome ;)Quote:

The key in doing this effect is how much blur you use based on the image. Sometimes you can really overdo it. But you're pretty talented, so you should be able to figure it out pretty quickly.Quote:

Thanks lefty. :)
I'm going to have to put a wall on the talented joint and complements of that nature because it could easily get to one's head. :)
But I humbly appreciate it.
oh ok, you're right, well, people make mistakes :), but you're right about the rules (i kindda thought i'd be able to get away with it) so i made the changes and posted it again. Thanks JWin for reminding me to comform :).

I think you really missed the point of the game. You have to use an element from the previous image. Even if that's just taking part of the monks robe and using it as a texture somewhere. The point is testing yourself and an image that is a challenge to work off is good to help you get better.
In the future you got to keep with the rules
I'd say leave it up. You aren't the first to miss the mark. The one great thing about this is that everyone participates so unless someone more important than me (which is everyone) says to take it down, just leave it up. You did work on it after all...
