Well guys... I thought image 2 was a little more cohesive piece. This one got my vote. Image 1 was incredible as-well... but I wished there was a little more connectivity with the elements present in the theme.

nice work by both of you, both images are great, and i 75% sure i know who did what, i just felt image2 was a little better this time around.

Honestly though, fantastic image once again CT, you're definately one of the top two designers on this site.
Hybrid, excellent work to you as well, having come out of nowhere to make it to the finals, what an accomplishment.

As you might have guessed, ctranter is this year's winner of the March Madness tournament. Congrats! You definatly put up quality work each round!! I look forward to seeing what you throw up in battles to come (you vs. O sounds like a battle we all would love to see).
I would also like to congratulate Hybrid for making it to the finals. I think you did great the whole way through and surprised quite a few people.
While I am rattling off thanks like im at the Oscars..... I would also like to thank gerbick and EVP for helping me run this tournament. This thing was a lot of work and they helped me more than they might realize (especially when I was getting surgery on my hand and couldnt do much of anything). You guys rocks!
RushVision, thank you for making a killer bracket graphic that was a big step up from the one we had last year.
Planet also did a lot of work for this behind the scenes and was a help.
And last but not least, Id like to thank everyone who participated. We had a huge turnout from active members, arena lingerers (the ones whose names you spot every once and a while under "members browsing this forum"), and some new members; many of which just signed up to take place in this tournament.
I hope to see all of you again back for next year's tournament but dont hesitate to stop in the Arena every once and a while. There was lots of impressive work done and I would love to see you guys (and girls ;)) all getting into some battles soon (maybe some grudge matches against the person who knocked you out of the tournament).

Maybe we need an August something, or a World Series, whenever that is (to follow with the trend of sports. This way I can feel involved with all the big sporting events since I don't watch any sports, but the World series is fun to watch).

ooo, ooo, ooo! Have 2-4 player teams in a roll canvas style battle. In other words the 2 teams going against each other would both do a team rollcanvas. Does that make any sense?

The college thing is cool but I dont think there is enough people to go with that...seems to be just a BIG-10 thing.
And we tried the cooperative tournament before and it didnt work out too well...if i remember, by the time the final volley's were due, there was only a few submissions...and i dont remember a winner even being crowned.
I think March Madness is the perfect solution...everybody can play and have fun...but again, it's a yearly thing, thats what makes it so cool. Throw some more ideas around though...we'll figure something out.
only bad thing about getting something else together is the decline of one on one battles. Every other site i go to has team against team battles and hardly any one on one. I think it would be a bad idea to push out the one on one battles. It's what makes this place so great...
A college themed one could be as simple as making teams and one person from each team battles someone else on the other team. All would be one on one battles (like the ACC - Big 10 challange in basketball). No scoring or anything though, just fun
