Nice image Hybrid! I like how you mixed the 2 fonts in the upper left. Gives it a nice grafitti feel(not sure if the spelling is right on that one) Welcome to the arena!
Thx for the welcome and praise guys. I think I'll start coming to the arena more :P

also if anyone has any tips for the box, I couldn't get the distort just right, is there an easier/better way?
wow, hybrid, very cool volley.
Ghostgirl, you're getting better with each new volley! nice!
The perspective is not too far off......I would have cut it prior to changing the perspective though.....just me though.....Quote:

Just set a box out in front of you, break out the perspective tool and practice. You'll get it......hang in there.

I know the colors are a little washed out, but that was what I was going for.
Thank you Kaco, I really appreciate that, I hoped I was improving. What I really needed was to bounce ideas off someone.
Hybrid, welcome to the arena, really nice image dude!
onraedan, as always cool volley, a bit BehindTheCurtain-esque ha ha but cool nonetheless :p

ahh my raver days
OH!! HOT idea........I never would have gone that way........ugh.......I totally see your idea, but the find edges filter ruins it....not to sound harsh.
You really have the vision, relax and see what you want and THEN take your time to compose your image. Seriously, I love the idea and where you were going with it, but just like myself, follow-through with the idea needs some work. I have the same problem.
I am still dyin' over the idea.......YES!!
Can I PLEASE get a copy of the original of the hippy girl/chicky.....she's schweeeeeeet!!
Really you don't like the filter? I was kinda going for something cartoony over something real...I really wanted something like what flashlight did here (with Bush) but I couldn't figure it out. I sort of like the roughness. I never know what the image will look like until I am done I just start with a idea of some sort and go from there.
of course you can have a copy of the girl *cough* shes not as hot w/o the filter*cough* *gasp* did I just say that? ;)
now I'm curious to how this original girl looks myself actually ;)
the way he did that was via either vector trace, or taking an image into Photoshop and then creating (using paths - that's up in skill level btw, but very possible using lasso or selections as well).
There's plenty of ways to "vectorize" an image, but using plugins is definitely not the way. No control over those things.
I'm about as anti-plugin as you can ever get. I use only blur, image calculations, and via the layer palette, layer application methods (overlay, et al) and that's about it. seriously.
No need for plugins.
