Years ago I bought an extension tube/ x2 converter. When used with a 28/35/50/70mm lense it's great for doing macro photography. I also have a 70-210 zoom with a macro facility on it but it's not as good as the extension tube.

I have one for my SLR, I took the macro shots of my laptop using it soemwhere at the beginning of this thread. I think they work great, especially for the price.Quote:

the macro on your zoom lens isn't a 'real macro, you really can't beat the quality of a real macro lens. Good ones are several hundred bucks though so be happy with the tubes, I am :D
Half-way through the march organisers got word that police estimated there were just over 200.000 attending. We were right at the front so we were going to arrive at Washington sq first and then we heard that there were still people joining at Times Sq.

For me, this was an amazing experience and a rather catharctic one. I'm very glad I was there and took part - this was the most beautiful stroll in Manhattan.
keep the pics coming :)

Fantastic pics Aria.
I like the one with the three helicopters in the sky and the very last picture of the 'hippie' protesting. What great shots. This entire war thing is starting to convince me to study photojournalism when I get to college. That must have been so exciting.
Thanks - we took about 200 stills and shot some video. I 'll try and post some more later. I am working on a short film for Indymedia -Quote:

i took photojournalism during my 2nd year at college where I did my BA in Photography - it's very exciting. If you are into it, check the work of Don McCullin who is a highly respected, independent photojournalist.
a
Don McCullin, words really cannot describe how powerful his photographs are.
