wow I totally messed that up. can a mod move this into the game thread.
also silver it was a more general question for anything wii related. if i want to hack it I know where to look. I was more interested in games and such. Anyone have the new Mario Bros game?
i heard it was good, if you want to check out a shooter the conduit is supposed to be pretty great. i have not played my wii in a while. limited my game purchasing, and i already beat everything i own so its a rough cycle till a game comes out i want
Shutter Island was great. Leo has limitless range and a lot of the camera work is classic Scorsese. The answer is really in the question so the reveal isn't what's memorable so much as how it's handled.
I actually might go and see the Karate Kid. Which should have been named the kung fu kid.
i picked up carriers, franklyn, and assassination of a highschool president last night, hoping to watch em all this weekend.
Precious was wow. I don't even know how to explain my feelings with that movie. It took 3 days for the power of the story to fade from my mindset. I woke up the day after watching it thinking about it. crazy stuff. highly recommended.
Date Night is hilarious. I thought it would have a couple laughs but it was funny through the whole thing. Worth the ticket price if you're looking for a mindless comedy.
i don't understand the appeal of that movie, which is probably why i have not seen it.
I don't know that I'd call Precious highly overrated. Powerful, provocative subject matter, perfectly cast and presented in a way that makes the whole product that much more memorable.
^ definitely agree with that.
It's a movie, not a product. What does provocative mean anyway? What did it provoke you to do?
it made him feel bad for a few hours then he bought $200 loafers
Merriam Webster says:
Main Entry: pro·voc·a·tive
Pronunciation: \prə-ˈvä-kə-tiv\
Function: adjective
Date: 15th century
: serving or tending to provoke, excite, or stimulate <a provocative question>
- It provoked thoughts about people in situations similar to those in the film.
- It excited my thought process about an area of the socio-economic world that I can't possibly relate to.
- It stimulated my sense of compassion for those able to rise above their circumstances, no matter how desperate.
Then I went out and bought $125 loafers at a rate of 41% off while others on this board were busy looking for "Mother's Day specials" on where to find the PS3 version of The Legend of Zelda VIII with free overnight delivery.
No I'm just saying the word provokative is a nothing word. HR's specific version of his opinion was much more informative and real.
Criticizing someones loafers is a provocation in my book.
Heh, yeah I'd say that falls under the classic definition.
assassination of a highschool president was a fun movie with tons of quotable lines.
