Last time i checked it cost more then that to keep someone in prison.

As for it being Eye for an Eye, your just looking at the initial action and failing to look past it, thats a case of tunnel vision.

Lets look at your park in Detroit, **** lets look at Detroit as a whole. you say its a violent place. Why would I, a business person want to go to Detroit and start a business, that caters to lower class people? I run the risk of being attacked, targeted, robbed... Lets look at that park, imagine what would happen to a place as hard hit as Detroit if there were places people could go that didn't cost money. You want to live the life of violence and putting fear into innocent people just trying to get by? then in my eyes you dont deserve to live, All you are doing is holding back civilization.

There is this thing called due process it occurs in the court system. Courts exist in all civilized countries and some not so civilized countres.

In your scenario.
Subject A just punched someone in the face. Subject B pulls out a gun and shoots Subject A for displaying violent tendencies. Subject C upon inspecting Subject B's actions determines that it was a violent act that needed to be adressed. Ergo Subject C shoots Subject B. An Eye for an Eye leaves us all blind. A death for a death leaves us all dead.

Your right, lets let someone sit on deathrow for 50 years while tax payers foot the bill, so their lawyer can use a bunch of legal loopholes to give the due process years and years of stalling.

I have not had time to watch tv shows lately, Between Civ5 and the NFL i have been pretty well occupied.

I'm so happy Fringe is back. This season's premier was theater quality sci-fi.

Dexter starts monday- can't wait.

Sister Wives is already a compelling show. If you liked Big Love, you'll really like watching a real life version.

No Ordinary Family was really hard to put a finger on. On one hand, its arch is put together by a twelve year old. Just really bad mixture of <insert elitest family drama series> meets the incredibles. The first 15 minutes were flat out terrible. It literally starts with a spontaneous "when's the last time we did something as a family" trip to Brazil!? The power assignments aren't the least bit original. The dad, a frustrated police sketch artist is given Hulk's powers so now he can fight crime. And of course he confides in token wise black man. Lame. The wife, literally introduced as a "research scientist" (really? does she research science?) doesn't have enough hours in the day so of course she's given Flash's powers. The daughter trying to be a good girl without losing friends gets telepathy and the son with a learning disorder gets super genius.

So despite being infected with ABC's pleasentville brainwashing, their's some cool parts and an actual hero fight scene which by default makes it better than Heroes. The plot and writers might just be dumb enough to keep it on track and interesting.

The opening to Dexter was one of the sadder episodes of a show I've seen in a long time. I think they are trying a little too hard to show how emotionless Dexter is and it made some for kinda lame moments but overall it was a very good start. It'll be interesting to see how he works through all of this seasons issues.

East Bound and Down has also started and if you like that style then you'll love this show(I'll prob get crap from silver for hating on Observe and Report)

Bored to Death was about on par with last season.

It's Always Sunny, 30 Rock, and Modern Family are all keeping up with previous seasons so far.

Damn...too many shows this fall.

SGU premiered last night. Can't wait to get home and watch it after the new Sons of Anarchy.

SGU sits wierd with me. I can't decide whether I like it or hate it so I keep watching looking for something I'll like or hate to decide.

This episode they made a lot of amends for incongruencies in the previous one.
The polish wedding on the boat still was a stretch. No one in hamtown can afford a wedding like that.

Detroit 187 has really turned around since the pilot. I wonder if they are going to uncover all the dirt surrounding Ilitch Village.

The Caprica premier last night was all over the place. Kept making me think I missed something in the first season. I may have to go back and watch the finale just to get it straight. With Sons of Anarchy, SGU, Caprica and Sanctuary all back, TV seems to have almost recovered from the reality show darkness. If only they would bring back Legend of the Seeker.

Just caught an episode of Eastbound and Down. What a filthy mess...I love it.

i am completely mixed on Eastbound and Down. I got the first disc via netflix, and was very angry with Kenny F'ing Powers. He could be the most hated main character of any TV show i've ever watched...but after a while, the show just became funny. I don;t know how much more of it I'll watch...just seemed like they kept repeating his same 'tarded phrases over and over again. Not sure how far they can go with it before it's plain old.

The second season is starting off great. Kenny Fk'n Powers!

I've given up on SGU. It's too damn slow. Everything is wait and bait.

I think its progressing along nicely. Rush's unique understanding of the Destiny's systems coupled with his phycological unraveling creates a dynamic power struggle. There aren't any major plot holes and there's a decent number of characters that you can't put a finger on. Eli, as the 'everyman' does need more screen time to prevent my from feeling disconnected.
