BTW joros.... Do you have any work of yours uploaded out there? From what I've seen so far, all the projects you join tend to fall apart, I think you're all bark and no bite. The same goes for maplethorpes. I'm not trying to make trouble.... but I wanna see something! =P

yes, it does hurt my ego- i would ay it was a typo but it wasnt. i am gonna hav 2 check the cover disk of the game again.
the reason that i havnt finished anything is coz i is a lower school flash newbie- and havnt got the time. thats why i am trying to contribute to this project, so maybe we can get something finished.

I've been kinda busy withs school but here is the .fla for the spaceship that we are using for the game. If someone could play around with the code a little that would be great. I'm still working on the code but If someone else could too that would help a lot. Here is the .fla:

ok ive looked at your code, but to me that just seems like imported flash 4 code. this is much easier to achieve in flash 5 so ive just made it from scratch. its not perfect but it should be easier to use than the curremt method.
ive put im some rotational easing, at a constat speed, i do prefer eaasing in and out but i know you want everything to move at a constant speed, so never mind.
the easingonly turns one way, but this can easily be solved, but i did not have time to do it. so heres what ive done for you

This is not HTML this is they're own form of it. < is not used, nor is </ used. The proper code should be:
Instead of <SWF> and </SWF> use ['s where the < is.

Also, After the Font Color Quote Ending, You need to Close that with another ] and then add the URL, then Close that.

this may not have any use but i enjoyed doing this, ive not done anything like tis before so it was a nice change.
the code is not too hot, but im sire it will be good enough, ive tried to make it understandable with lots of comments. also ive made it so that it now rotated clockwise and anti-clockwise

It exist. And the SWF Tag enters a blank frame even if it doesn't. There is only text in the footer area and no brackets to perform the function.. <SWF> and </SWF> but with brackets. Go here, and paste exatly what it say's here onto your footer area. Try that, if a blank frame exist, then change the URL. You may need to change the BG to 000000 also.

i didnt want to do too much, i just got an email from Maplethorpes asking me to help him with some code so that the ship move without having to click on the ship first, and so that when moving it points in the right direction.
i added the turning thingy for `fun` (i say fun, but more cos ive nt done that before). Then you mentioned adding some sort of
so i have done what you see, but i dont want to do too muc unless it is useful. Also i have very little time these days (working).Quote:

I've been busy with school for a while but now things are starting to heat up. Thanks so much Chicken Mcnuggets for all that work you did to contribute to the game. I hear that you did something new too. Thats great. Oh and thx for adding the comments. We can change the stuff to make the flames egnite and denite. I hope if there is any problem in the future you are still willing to help. I will work with the .fla. Magnetos I hope you can fiddle with it to and see what we can meke. Thanks everyone. Pretty soon we should make the enemies ships ;)
P.s. If you think I'm gone a lot I am. However being offline doesn't mean Im not working. I'm still diving face first into this project. I hope everyone else is too. Thx.

Maplethorpes what is your role in all this? it seems that you are directing it, but also dipping into all elements of actionscripting, graphics, music? story writing?, and everything else. Sounds like you wanna make a game, but can't. Surely it would turn out better if you just delayed for 6 months and learned some more stuff yourself. If you got someone to do the prorgamming, then what are you dipping into it for? same goes for all the other elements. i don't mean to piss on your parade or anything, - well just a little, but is this for real?
if you have clearly defined roles for everyone else, then surely you need to have one for yourself. McChickenNuggets, you seem to be a siht hot actionscripter by the way!
Hey, if you're payin people, then sure, its your money and that, but if you're getting them to do it for nothing, well, congrats on being a good salesman.
