K-Meleon is faster than Opera. If you use the Symbiotic loader the Load time is less than .5 seconds. In otherwords it loads instantly or as close to instantly as possible. Its based off of Embedded Mozilla and has a few bugs but all in all is greaty little browser.Quote:

In the end, I would choose Opera for speed and the multiple document interface, Mozilla for standards-compliance. The only reason I would choose IE is because basically every web designer in the world designs for it.
Major downsides of K-Meleon, if you want to call them that;
1. No Built in E-Mail. You will need your own E-Mail client. Endura, Pegasus Mail, ETC are all good free E-Mail Clients. Off Coarse if you get MS Office, Star Office, or Corel WP Office an E-Mail client is included.
2. No History.
3. No Slide out Bars or silly search windows- Its just a simple browser.
4. Only allows 256 Favorites.
5. Multiple SWFS on a page drag it way down and may freeze the browser.
6. No built in HTML Editor.
Major Upsides of K-Meleon;
1. It uses Embedded Mozilla so it is as CSS and ECMA Compliant as Mozilla.
2. It Uses Mozilla/NS Plug-Ins3. Becuase it uses native Windows Widgets it is faster and smaller than Mozilla.
4. Since it is just a simple browser it is much smaller than other browsers.
5. It is completly customizable- The code is avialble via GPL and NPL.
