We have G4 and G5 macs at work, I have a G4 which I really like using with OSX, I can't stand OS9 though.
At home I have a reasonable PC which has all the same programs on as my work Mac, and to be quite honest I find they are both as good as each other.
If you have one of a breed of machine which doesn't perform as well as the other I'm sure you would lean to one side.
I like both, and I'm buying a Mac for home as soon as I have the chance. So in my opinion, they're both as good as each other.

My opinion...
PC is pretty much dominate..
They have alot of graphic companies that use mac, but thats all its good for. You can get the same amount of performance out of a P4 ht with a ton of ram, and nice video card. In the gaming industry MAC sucks...
Im all for PC, and I think PC can out perform a mac
