Artistically and flashacologically it's pretty damn good. From a marketing standpoint, it's suicidal. I could be wrong though, maybe it's good salesmanship to wave full-throttle homosexuality or relationship status ("back together in love blah blah...") in the face of your prospects. Perhaps in So Cal or NY it's important to prove how friggin outrageous and tasteless you can be. Some do judge artists by just how whacked they act.
I'll try that: "My wife and I are back together and in love, and we want to design for you. Please trust me with your company's hard-won image". Then I'll have her shake her ass on the screen during transitions, and say "what's up baby" on mouse-over. Yeah, killer plan.
I know we're all supposed to worship gmunk, but please.
Again, nice art, poor marketing IM<worthless>HO.
I like the way the video moves back and forth when I push a buttons. Thats why its so cool. It moves real fast hehe.Quote:

The below is funny and true. That is a marketing nightmare. I guess not if you target market is gay porn.
You are the epitomy of shallow
have a nice day :)
LOL. Did you guys see that they put some of your posts on the site? Fantastic!! Love it! I accept.
I feel embarrassed when people that are suppose to be my peers have no clue about the actual process involved in making a successful project. I dont know if you are in the job market but it sucks for a lot of people that are in your field right now. I want my field to be full of knowledgeable designers that have a clue about the process. That way we can all charge the big bucks and make a living out of this!:D Like I am fortunate enough to be doing right now.
Okay, you really need to stop undermining peoples experience in the design feild. For one, you are the most arrogant, self-centered individual who thinks he knows it all. You assume that your 'peers' or people that might just happen to get inspirtaion from something YOU dont like...'have no clue'. Is it you that might perhaps be a little insecure of your abilities as a designer? Therefore, its easy for you to rip others down...that my boy is a classic case of an inexperienced designer. It certainly comes across that way anyway. You make assumptions of my age in a previous post, thinking I started design in high school. You have no clue of what Ive done in the past, my prestigious client base, anything about me.
There are lots of talented designers out there that could make you look like a 'high school' kid. What makes you think you have a 'clue about the process'...do you really? Or is it just your small minded opinion.
Awesome.
If this site's about nothing:
Seinfeld was also about nothing.
It now enjoys gazillions in syndication.

Wow!
i went to check it out and looked arround for the messages.. found some more... and found the site more interesting...
To wefail: Can you make an interactive poster of your site so i can put it on my wall?
They failed to do an interview here:
OrganicFlash
cwflash, what makes you believe you are above everyone else here?
get over yourself.
im not here to argue, im just hear to take part in the design community on flashkit... nothing more, nothing less, why ***** about a website?
and as for design/art, thats a question thats been running for years.
as for the site, i think its a nice piece of expression, and a good promotion for the shirts.
sounds are good, artwork is good.
but this is just another site made to get a reaction from the community, which i guess it has done.
inspiration from tracey emin i see....

What would like to not communicate with WEFAIL.?
Martin: That our Design principles are heavily based in Art , we re not artists. It s graphic design.
Jordan: Oooh. Martin is very anti-art in this respect and I find it
interesting. Personally I think flash as an art form needs a special
identifier. A word that will instill in people the grave importance
of works such as WEFAIL. I've twisted my brain on this one and
believe I have come up with something both noble and which instills
the super importance and above all the high seriousness of works
such as WEFAIL: FLART... and of course that would make us FLARTISTS.
Martin: Yeah, I like that term, we re Modern FLARTISTS. Well worked out Jordan.
so as far as i see form this they dont know whay they made the site, other than to promote thier t-shirts.
martin first says that thier work is not heavily art based, but is graphic design.
then later says he is a modern flartist... (flash artist)
therefore creating art with flash, but if he is a graphic designer how does he work that one out?
I think that they being playful and want you to know that they do not take themselves to seriously.
Maybe that is a disguise though. Maybe like all of us they want the lovin and protect themselves in case they don't get the lovin.
I happily and respectfully give them the lovin.
Kurt
no, I'm not a pyschotherapist, but I'm married to Dr. Phil.
oh i know they dont take themselves seriously.
anyone thats a cowboy (he's from texas and a rodeo so he must be :P) and a flashdesigner cant possibly be serious ;) lol
I thought it was very interesting..haven't seen anything else like it. Graphics were very cool and hip.
But, I thought it was hard to navigate..the voice over stuff was irritating, and after spending a few minutes on the site, I still have no idea what their product was or why I should come back ever again.
lol the site has worked in part though....Quote:

they are promoting a t-shirt site that they plug constantly in every other interview.
this, i guess, was just a creative outburst for that.

WORD!
If you read back on how all this got started you will see that you actually accused me of somehow not knowing enough about Flash to understand or like the site. you could not except the fact that I simply didn't care for the site. I explained that I completely appreciated the work and technical abilities but the content to me, sucked. This some how got your panties in a bunch and now you are calling me arrogant and unexperienced.Quote:

Neither are even remotely true. Sorry wrong again. You made comments with an air of absolute knowledge about the process that were inaccurate saying once again that I was somehow not as knowledgeable as you.. Your right, I should not have made comments about your being in high school but this is the way a kid reacts and responds.
I dont think I am better than anyone. In fact I am in awe of what people do with Flash everyday. I am however a very competent designer with tons of real world experience with large and small corporations. Hardly means I know everything but maybe I do know something?
I would love to see your prestigious portfolio I am always looking for inspiration.
Thanks
how long did it take to download for you?
I gave up after 10 mins when about 10% had loaded. I'm only on a 56 dial up modem.
