some of the weather crews are at folley beach, one of our barrier islands.
looks like charley might come to charleston afterall.

my mom just got slammed in cocoa beach, florida.
she's a yankee, and this was her first time.
she said, "well, i'm never going to do that again".
hurricane shutters jumping, sideways rain and trees, but she's still got power.

Looks like alot of people died last night. At least thats what they say.

How are do you expect a trailer home to hold upto a tree coming at it 100+mph.

we are getting it right now - it's pretty strong at times.

if i can, i'll post video later - but i don't think you can see the sideways rain....

it's already sunny here again.
we lost some siding (2 strips), and have a lot of tree debris in the yard.

but, it's gone as fast as it came.

Well over here we decided to opt for our bad weather to be spread out evenly through the year, rather than all at once on rare occasions, so we don't really have the problems of hurricanes.

Though if we did we would probly 'hunker down old chap' :)

well the aftermath was worth then the storm we got some exit bands from the storm that flodded are neighbor hood and produced some great downpours..
