The waterfall picture is good and the edited version is outstanding. Would I be correct in my assumption if I were assuming that all these photos in the various battles were being edited/improved/enhanced in Photoshop?Quote:

Glass sounds good. I am sure we will get to that in the next few weeks. I am trying to think of a good place for my long exposure now.

Nothing like I had in mind...oh well there it is.
The trees seem almost over processed in the background... I may like the original more actually.
The trees came out a lot more once I ran the image through USM. I wasn't planning on having this image be black and white. I wanted it to be color but when I was all done the colors didn't have that pop I was hoping for. I added a gradient map and started playing with that and got what I have posted.

Jfast, glass next? I have no idea of what to do with that subject. Save it for later or get it over with? I think if I am forced I can get something together this weekend :)
So goes anyone have any actual comments or crits for our photos? That was really the whole purpose of this thread was to get critical input on how to better our images. So post away with anything you feel is good or bad or changes etc.
both of your images in this round seemed to lack something. I think with both, they are missing a good central focal point.
Wannabe, while your's has a good foreground with the cylindrical building, there's nothing else that really draws my eye into the photo. I actually like the unprocessed one over the b&w.
Jfast, i see where you were going with this exposure, but the star trails seem more like star wars lasers or asteroids ready to hit earth ;) and stand out a tad too much. I really like the road with the brake lights. I know you said this version wasn't what you wanted to post. But that tree that's in the mid ground seems amazingly interesting, and maybe if you could have gotten a closeup photo near the tree, this compositition would ahve been great.
thanks for the crids. i wanted to do exactly what you were saying by getting closer to the tree but the clouds had other plans :)/ug. so whats next?
I guess we could go ahead with the glass one...get it over with. :)
