Mike, could it just be possible that Unity have a stratergy and that you may not know what that is.
Unity are a self funded company, who have been profitable from day 1. Now I have been in enough investment meetings to know they are doing something right to achieve that. Have you considered the idea that, maybe at the moment they don't want massive penetration of the web player and every Tom-Dick et Harry making games on their platform? Maybe, and this is purely speculation here, they want to perfect their tools, their publishing formats and company structure before going truly over ground.
I guess, very much like Mochi and many other players in the games market, they have far reaching and very ambitious plans, and to say "they did x, so they are stupid" is very, very naive. Unity may well go down as another of those formats that could have done it, I have no idea, but your simplifying of the matter with you lack of business understanding and rubbishing other people's enthusiasm on here is quite frustrating. But hey ho, like a good troll, you have got an argument out of me so you win again.
Chris
p.s. I borrowed a friend's Mac for a 3 days before and installed the Unity trial and made this

Cursors to run, space to jump, chase the cows into the tractor beam. Aint gonna win any awards, but was fun to make (and learn during) and has me gagging to build more Unity stuff in 09.
