The USA plays Algeria soon, and needs to win, rather than draw, unless SLovenia wins over England. But the group is finely balanced (my maths head doesn't work too well early in the morning). It might even come to a goal count to decide the 2nd qualifier.
South-americans are dominating the world cup so far.
All of the South-american teams: Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile are in the first place of their respective groups.
the first round had some shocking results, I mean Spain's loss, France eliminated, England not being able to win, Germany's loss to Serbia, but of them all, France's elimination made sense, I hate Dominique (the coach), and they had no buisness being at World Cup, they qualified by cheating, Henry using his hand, and not Maradona Hand-Scoring style, I mean he used it in a way that is both too stupid and obvious, he might as well just hugged the ball and ran straight into the goal!
Anyways, I really do hope Argentina wins this world cup, they really do deserve that!
French deserved to be out. Overpaid players, no motivation, permanent 'on-strike' attitude, lazy, Domenech is worst coach ever. I even bet 1-0 for South Africa.
But the worst thing of all this uber lameness from the French, is that they've actually stolen Irish qualification!!!! The Irish would have performed way better.
I agree, who made the french team what they were before wasn't at all Dominique the coach, He has always been very bad, it was the amazing Zidane!

A great finish to the group stage, nerve racking here in England, and the States had so many chances and finally took one. Congratulations to them for winning the group.
:( Australia wins against Serbia 2 - 1 ...but it is not enough to see them through to the round of sixteen. It goes to a goal countback and we needed a few more goals to move on.
Good news for the USA though, top of their group, nice work.
