mel- groovy. perhaps you'd like to make him more to a realistic size, being... well, I dunno, maybe you should make the head smaller... but it still looks GREAT!

nice action sketch, CNO! gotta see some ANIMATION now! :D

wow looks like your game's going to be quite detailed there, xup! can we get a preview? :D

ick I have to do 2 christmas wallpaper things now.. and get some scripting done for an interactive christmas tree.. and work on the lip-synching on this page I have for my new website... Jenny the CreatureCaretaker. (In charge of CrEtures, where you can play with little e-pet thingees and make them mad and feed them and stuff...) maybe I'll post a link to one one of these days! :D

pretty cool, i liked those characters... the white cross doesn't seem to fit though.

The fact that they kinda have their faces covered with masks makes it easier to draw them right? but, it also makes it harder to show more expression in the characters.

So....i've been working on a webpage, that's why i haven't produce any artwork latelly, lets hope i get some free time for x-mas :D

About the cross, it just felt right for him to have something in his hand and I´m to lazy to draw a machinegun. The masks are indeed to make them easyer to draw and I´m to lazy to draw faces too :)

Nice pic XUP - I like what you've done with the lighting. Looks a little dark here, but that can have to do with jpeg compression (and the brightness of these boards) :D

I've attached a new image (not the bubblebot this time!), but quite possibly a character for the game. Not sure I'm wild about the colors for this guy just yet - suggestions are welcome.

Xup your 3d work is looking good, I agree with our leader (CNO) that it does look dark. I would like to see a larger fire (flames) along with the glow spanning out more.

it may be because i have my brightness set super high on my monitor.... anyways its been handed in now, so to late :)

and CNO that guy reminds me even more of Megaman, like his lil uzi though :)

hey nice 3D rendering! I need to get into 3D stuff more... I'm working w/ max and bryce right now, bryce in particular. in fact...

that's a huge file. i used bryce for the background, transformed it so it would fit the page, used a gaussain blur, and then did the birds and whatsuch on top. (yay my first 2d rendering.. kinda..) I'm working on a violin... actually, I was, but then after a while I kinda ditched it. oh well! that picture is 2400x1800 pixels :eek: I meant to put in 1600x1200, but I must have had my fingers on the wrong keys or something...

and then the masterpiece that I finished last night...

at the moment, it's still uploading.. 48% complete on a 56 k modem for that 1600x1200 picture!! arf! I should ask for DSL for Christmas... no I take that back, I still want an Intuos 2!! who all uses a graphics tablet in here?? I want one, because my hand gets fatigued after using a mouse, vigorously outlining characters for about an hour.. (cough gag!)

Been playing lots of Metroid Prime lately (and, in turn, the original NES Metroid, which is included on the disk), and decided to do some fan art in the style I've been woring with for my character. :D

Let me know what you think!

Sorry! Forgot to mention that this is all vectors (even the bgd), like the others. :D

lol my friend's a major metroid fan; (sad thing, he didn't get it for christmas!) anyways I got him the guide for it. friday was like a freeday. so we had a samus drawing competition. maybe I'll post the sketches I did sometime... but right now i"m working on a newyears picture... I GOT AN INTUOS 2 FOR CHRISTMAS!!! man this thing rocks.. dude, how did you do the samus background pixely things with vectors? that's wild! :D

Screen cap. And Flash's Trace Bitmap feature has a "pixel" tightness setting. ;)

hey, that's a great idea!! I want to make a calendar one of these days... hey, if you want to make like a real published wall calendar, does anyone know the pixel dimensions? not that I'll get started on one any time soon... LOL I just love my Get Fuzzy calendar and I was thinking about doing one.

...you know, the left image of the ship... looks like a bird head... kinda... it's got the beak, a huge eye, the fluffy head feather thing.. a neck, and then kinda goes down into the chest... sorta... heh could color it in like a bird :D jk!

I love the Gradius games, especially the Gameboy-version of the first game, Nemesis. Howewer the birdheadshaped spaceship is the coolest i the genre.

Nice painting style Flashlor im not in to snowboarders but i kinda liked yours anyway. Oh by the way does anyone know where i can find images of space and stars that can be used as backgrounds in flash animations? or is there a nice flter which makes stars, stars as in the sky not a star just ;)
