Everything I said was factual and right on. I told you a year ago that today Unity will be nowhere as far as browser gaming goes ( that was back when you posted raptor safari or whatever...)

Turns out I was right, a year has passed, Unity is still irrelevant, just like I said they'd be.

Same with a "must have windows version before they can hope to achieve anything there".

If anything you are the one posting speculations and nonsense, that obviously have been proven wrong. We've had this conversation before, and like I said, you were wrong I was right.

This is pure nonsense. It may be right in your head but to everyone else its nonsense with no factual background to proove it; there are many facts that proove the exact opposite.

Fact: many major game portals pay high sums for unity content.
Fact: many major companies use unity for projects into which millions are pumped.
Fact: More and more game portals come up that use unity content exclusively.

There are many ways to make money with unity content, also regarding web deploy so your statement is nonsense.

It would be a believable assumption to say something like " with a windows ide probably they will attract way more developers which in return will create way more content which in return will probably help raising the plugin penetration more in a shorter timesapn"

on specific news regarding achievments in web field i can´t be bothered to look up many links to compensate your ignorance, what about you google some, then you´d see several unity games were the most played games on shockwave and other major portals for several months, would maybe see several other big portals hosting unity content or would learn about fusionfall or other big budget unity web productions etc?

Just more nonsense from you. They are not even up to the level where Wild tangent was 7-8 years ago, not to mention Director.

All you have to do is go to any major ( or minor ) portal and count Director games, then count Unity games ( if you can even find any ).

So what? Java, Wild Tangent and Director all had at one point or another big budget projects, and more of them than Unity, on bigger sites like Disney. They all failed in the end.

Give it up dude. When the windows version comes out, if they take off, fine, until then who gives a crap. You've had it for 6-7 months too, have no games to show. What is the point of this nonsense ( unless you're one of the guys paid by Unity to spread the word ). I really don't see the point.

You can't take any disagreements without getting pissy immediately, you have no games to show. If you want everybody to agree with you, just go to Unity forum and post whatever you want.

Really, let that get to you. Think about it. Don't get the point? You advise everyone to wait till everyone starts using it. See the paradox there? Now how about you drop the whole "it's not as succesfull as Flash yet, so some dive power hasn't decided it is time for Unity and I won't get on the bandwagon" argument?

I'm not advising anybody to do anything.

To summarize ( and you can go back and re-read ):

I've mentioned it many times that if you need to develop a real 3D game or wii, iPhone content, you are better off using Unity than Flash.

I've agreed that for pure game creation power, Unity is the best of the three

It's you guys ( some of you ) who get personal and pissy as soon as I post something you don't agree with. Tomsamson goes nuts if I just compare a Unity game to a Director game, like that's forbidden.

And in the end, this is still flashkit, not Unitykit, so we should keep it relevant to flash. That is why I compare it to flash, browser penetration numbers and so on. Then even on flashkit people get pissy because I dare to stick to Unity vs. flash relevant comparisons only and don't really care about iPhone.

Some of these are my opinion, some of these are facts. Whoever wants to use Unity, go ahead, then %$#^ off and go post on Unity forum.

You may think I'm throwing this out there, but wait another year, then you'll see: "TOdorus KNEW. I mean, how else can he make a claim that? You can't just guess... can you? Man, that guy is a Prophet I tell you!" And you don't even have to remember it yourself: I'll point it out to you that I said it time and time again. Not only that, but you go on and dismiss other peoples arguments as "irrelevant", with no need to say why, as they are: irrelevant. If others make a claim they need to back it up with numbers and reasoning, but that doesn't apply to MikeMD.

Top of that, if people respond negative to that, it is them that get pissy (truly, truly wierd response), so you are not to blame. It musn't be that your conduct in a debate is so poor that they get all pissy, but that your arguments are so good.

And yet these Unity ones always lead to this. It seems we've run out of things to fight about with Flash ( as3 ? Boo / Hurray ) and need to bring a new boy into it.
Can't we go back to the good old days of the pro / anti 3D in Flash debates ? Actually no, 'cause then the U word comes up again.

I for one wouldn't be too upset to see this moved to the coffee lounge, as it has nothing at all to do with Flash game development now, it hasn't for quite a few pages and I can't really see it turning back to it, can anyone else ?
