Great work, realy cool. luvin' it.
neps, that's beautiful. I dig it :). SOmehow the colors between the purple and green are throwing me off though. Dunno if it's my monitor or what, but they seem to clash a bit. Other than that, great balance, great use of brushes and a nice pretty thing to look at.
Sweet!
Yeah that's a gorgeous image. Love the balance of elements. Colours work for me and the text is nicely done.
Content content content. This is what I like to see.
Juju: I like what you've done with the with the shattering concept. The hammer seems to have a lot of weight behind it. Great movement in the background. Conceptually, I know it has something to do with Flash and shattering, but I can't really 'piece' it together *snicker*. I'd like to see a more intricate or interesting shattering pattern on the windows but it works.
random: (On the maple/oak leaf composition.) I'd like to see more midtones because the image looks too dark to me. My eyes are sort of straining to see the texture behind the leaves and on the frame. The saturation is a bit too much for me, I would personally tone that down a bit. More than anything, the composition is very simple, sort of like a point-and-click family photo where the focus is in the center of the frame, or in this case, the three leaves are dispersed evenly and centered. I think it'd be more interesting if they were different sizes and perhaps one was half way off the image. I can look at the image for about ten seconds before I feel I've seen everything there is to see. I'm sorry but I'm not too happy with it, I think you could have done much better.
wbwd: I think your composition is fabulous. I wish the text would come through more clearly but I love what you have created with vectorized shapes on the right which seemed to be representative of digital textbased characters and how they create a wonderful design with the dark mountain background and the whirling leaves. There's so much movement going on in that area and it's all being contained by the camera men on the left. Good work.
Nep: You really have a knack for blending different images into a solid concept. The balance is absolutely wonderful, you held it together in the transition on the right side with the seahorse looking thing and the crazy cellular looking stuffamajigs as well as the binary and the city scape. I'm not digging that seam though, about 150 pixels from the right spanning completely up and down the image. I feel like the image would flow better and I like the tension but I feel it's too much and destroys a potentially awesome transition. Great work this is. Impress me everytime you do.
random: I'm so digging this. It's got a really techno zen feel or sumthin. I would have said something about too much filtering if you hadn't really pushed that pixelly feel and I'm glad you did. IMO, the butterfly and the tiger look like seperate layers of the entire composition as opposed to a natural integration to the entire piece and to rectify this I would lower the opacity of the blur effect around each the two creatures. Just enough to bring out the edges a little more while still softening the feel of them.
Nepzap i love the way you tied everything together in your image.
Thanks for your input,Quote:

It was a quick one, and a step towards me minimalizing the amount-o-stuff that i have been packing into my pics.
This is one of my favorite images that i have done.Quote:

I'll do what you have suggested with the blur/shadow in this one.
Thanks again.

a very epic battle this is. thanks for the acknowledgements fellas!!!
Mr. random25 very nice piece, cohesive and it stands out. one thing though... I would've love to see the tiger a little more prominent, but that's just me. i love felions.

Thank you very much!

I was just wondering what happened to the kung fu theme and decided to have a little fun with the question. :)
Looks like JujuFighter is gettin' his game on... :p
Oh great.
2 sweetly balanced volleys. great job guys, keep this shiznit goin!
Thanks,
I also forgot to mention the great work on nepzaps last image, the blue and white really balance out the image nicely, and the text looks very professional.
That's what I'm talkin' about...a little kung fu action!

o.k. it's ok. jees...
Superb imagery on that one, nep. The cats are perfect.:thumbsup:
I'm diggin your volley nepzap. It has a nice surreal flow to it and i love the grainy texture applied. I'd say this is my favorite image of yours.
thank you for the complements fellas... i'll take them where i deserve them... as you know I google a lot... this is a colage from various places... the image is comprised of two images from other artists who deserve the credit! And I have credited!
my work here is the creation of a solid peice from two images. The blending, texturing and concept, is my work.
surrealism is my s..t!
peace!
creative, RUSH... when are you two going to drop?
come on now stop lurking and drop :yarr:
:)
when are you going to drop, two of the last three images I droped were isnpired by your image.
nepzap- LOVE that last one. awesome style.
you say you have given credit to the original artists of the stocks ....where is this? i'm just interested to see the stocks you used in this one, as it's gorgeous.
wbwd won't be dropping for at least a month. ;)
To ALL MODERATORS... I NEED A LITTLE HELP HERE.
I PM'd some of you. Please some help needed here.
DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER an image that gerbick had produced? One with some of Dalis' work in it. Now... I'm sure that in using that image one can clearly see it was Dalis but gerb's blending with another image and manipulation of the image was clearly gerbs work. How can one avoid being labled a "bitter" or "thief" when one produces images based on stock, clearly not our own.
Do you guys see what I mean? I can take pictures of the images that I want... but unfortunatly some are in places I don't live in, and some are.
here are the images I used to create this collage.
the first is this one
copy and paste this in google "site:www.geocities.jp japanese art" and click images.
and the second
"http://www.interculturaljapan.com/wordpress/wp-includes/images/pics/fuji.jpg"
based on japanese art "Kung Fu"
But if any of you feel this is a rip off I'll gladly take this image out.
Again I'm not trying to bite anything. I AM AN ARTIST and I create my own expressions, but I don't want to offend anyone. I e-mailed the artist who's name is Erika Yama...something... now her e-mail option is not coming out nor is her web site available, I don't know. But I had e-mailed her expressing that I was using her image and I sent a link there so she can see it. I asked a friend of mine what he thought and he said he thought it was O.K. since I'm not actually placing her image here and saying its mine, but rather I'm using some of her imagery and creating one of my own.
I have not said this image is mine from the very moment I posted this. That's why I was careful to mention and take credit for what was my work.
This is the first time this happens to me.
I've always created my imagery... from my head, yes guilty of using stock... but I think that other than that my style is multifaceted it's quite out of the ordinary... surrealist. And I do not bite. I have always respected others work.
Thank you guys.
Personally, I think art should be free. People who choose to make art their profession are allowed to do so, but when it comes to giving credit and all that bull****, I really could care less. Take my work and call it your own, that's not really what I'm worried about. I just want my images to change the way you see the world around you.
Now if you are trying to make money off of my work, that might hurt a bit. Clearly, if you simply took my work and maintained the major composition or framework of the piece and in turn made a profit from my idea, I'd object. I don't think you're trying to do this Nep.
98% of my work when I first started creating digital manipulations was from random stock I found on the internet because I wasn't as concerned with who the pixels belonged to as I was concerned with learning how to become more proficient at using the program to make the images.
This is just my opinion, but I think what you did took all the component elements to a completely new level. I see it as being as original in execution as most of the other volleys that get posted here, if not more so. The original image with the girl and the cats gives a completely different impression than does your image. She is in restful sunny repose while in yours I find a hint of darkness, the passage of time, and our connection with the earth.
I call your effort a skillful and artistic manipulation, my friend.
alright, yes this is out of context and way out of date but nep I just have got to voice my opinion about the new horizon picture. I love it! Definately one of my favorites I ever seen on here, that is what photoshop is about. It is just a nice view for sore eyes.
nepzap, i wasn't attacking you or saying you shouldn't use other people's work (although if it is copyright you probably shouldn't have), i was simply saying i loved your image and i was interested to see the original images.
the reason i wanted to see them is that i really like the style and wanted to know who created the original images to find out more about it. and also to see what work you had done to blend the images.
thanks for the links :)
i really like this
it's all good I didn't think you were attacking me, I was just putting it out there that I was just the blender of two very delicious fruits. :)
Erika Yamashiro is brilliant
and you made a pretty good smoothie ;)Quote:

Cheers people,
Biro
wait...you were banned! what are you doing here?
great question... actually, i love FK so i just can't leave... Don't worry, before even attending to post i contacted EVP, he can ban me whenever he wants ( he's the boss you know )... Btw, honestly , i'm quite glad i got rid of that old account... I couldn't create this one because someone was using it ( or something like that ), but now it's FREE, yeah :D. Anyways, at the moment ( i hope ) EVP understands something that you guys don't, and as i said, don't worry EVP is doing a great job on FK, so if i need to be baned once more... i'm looking forward to it ( i take full responsability for all my actions ).Quote:

PS: the whole thing is a long story :D you can't even imagine why i started that ( you know my stupid insulting comments and thoes ugly things )... anyways, i'm here and i don't have to play the bad guy anymore, so untill EVP decides to ban me again or something, i'm cool... << i just wanted to make this clear, so that you guys ( some i mean ) don't start inventing things that are not true in reality ( i'm not even 1/4 as bad mannered in real life as i pretended to be in my posts << better said, in some of my posts >> )...
