Nice concept man, I like it. Would have liked to see the puzzle piece somewhere though, maybe behind the CAUTION instead of the yellow.
And I thought this was dead.
ill have something up by the weekend...
I'll call next after you Jujumon.
Nice!
I'll see what i can come up with,
There's that damn puzzle piece! :) Nice job juju!
Alright, I had to make this one quickly since I'm at work:

nice sparkles!!!
but im not a big fan of the whole piece covered with scan lines, only cover in parts would be more interesting i think. id prefer the word 'fight!!" to be more dominant and focused. at the moment i think the whole elements just blended together and lack focal point :)
yea, i was going for the "seeing stars" after being punched kinda thing, but it fell apart from there.
Yeah, you have. Nice to see your signature style back in the arena, nightwish!
Thanks dude, feels good to be back he he
Ok, this is my first volley ever so be gentle. There isn't much to it (I'm very hesitant so I played it pretty safe), but hopefully there is enough there to return off of.
The throw back to the original serve and other sparkly volleys was intentional. I've noticed the sparkle theme and wanted to continue it.

I'm grateful for any crits (I need em).

hi, no need to hesitate and go create some shocking piece :)
i'd put more work on the lady, at the moment you can clearly see she's been cut out and pasted because the background is so in focus and the lady isnt. you can play around with hue/light,darkness/contrast..etc to get the colorings right. then you can blur the edges to smooth it out abit.
btw the glowing butterflies are cool and i like how you make them go around the lady like that.
Hey Juju!
Thank yo so much for the crit. I spent about an hour all told on this piece, so I definitely coulda put more work into it. I appreciate the advice and will be sure to take that into consideration on my next volley!

Cool image. I like stuff that makes you think a little bit...and shows the artist did the same. Good use of the previous image, and I like how image clarity and the lines are used to draw the viewer's eye. Nicely done. :)
thanks for awesome critique...
I like that one Filmz, I dont know why. But it's really good.
Ooohh....ahhh...that's very cool, zapper. Great colors and you really did a nice job of making things 'pop'. Besides, it's hard to go wrong with cute anime chicks. :D
long time no see :)
Nep it's good to hear from you man. Tight work as usual.
I thought i'd zoom in on that manga chick...

Haha that's a great image meart. I feel great depth in not only space but story as well. Very powerful. I'm interested in how the balance would be shifted if she had a neck. I think I like her without one though. Great work.
Thanx Zacaboo, she first had a neck, but it looked to "posed" for my likings. I Like your volley too, the romance v.s. industrial is interesting and there is a strong mystical undertone. ("industrial romance" would make a nice theme for a battle i think) The Only thing i find less strong in this image is the lens flare, and the use of type.
I agree with you about the flare and type. Thanks for the pointer. I'd definitely be down with an industrial romance match in a couple days or so if you were interested.
i bag the next one! :D
return will be ready soon...

It would be awesome to be able to get involved in the digital art/design scene in Ireland, maybe even surrounding countries in Europe. I'm going to make a thread in FK about this later on, you guys might help :D
