i dont get it, do we get to choose what is essential to learn? if its based on choice, i dont think its essential, and if its different for everyone then how is it not based on choice?Quote:

When you go to college you choose what subject you want to learn right? It can be easy lessons with little pay off, or hard lessons with a big pay off. You have full choice at all times.Quote:

When you come here to learn as a soul it's the same thing. Just think of the earth as a big school. And no, I do not think that it's a coincidence that the words University, and Universe are so similar.
well if you think about it, those decisions are sorta set out for you already. What we do during childhood effects those type of decisions me make in the future.

What we do during childhood does affect what we study and pay attention to during the rest of our lives. But how does that relate to sprituality at all. You guys are jumping to conclusions just to finish the argument. But the answer you came up with has nothing to do with the question.Quote:

Then SwishY came to the conclusion of Self Educating souls. I asked him to elaborate and he said he didn't feel like typing his legnthy response.
Now, you guys have managed to oversimplify and come to a conclusion just because its convenient. Its very well known that whatever you're exposed to as a child will probably be an interest to you as an adult. Come on, what does that have to do with the way SwishY's spirits learn? I don't know what that conclusion proves, but it doesn't take us to a better understanding of Swishy's theory of Self-Educating Souls.
I never said self-educating souls. That would emply that they have the answers already within them, and they only need to unlock the answers. The easiest way to do this is for you to read the book which I suggested. It's not one or two paragraph answer, nor should it be.
What I mean by self-educating souls is that they search for knowledge unprompted. What really gets to me is that you assume that everyone alive believes that they have a soul. You constantly tell people about thier souls and what the funtion of thier soul is, but you don't even know if they exist. What you must first establish is that there is some good reason to believe that these entities do exist and what function they have in conjuction with your physical body and your mind. Tell me one or two paragraphs about that and your argument will be way more credible.
Well first of all I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I am not a priest, and it will not help me in anyway to prove anything like this. I am merrly suggesting another way for you to look at things. I have studied most every religion, and talked with countless of people who were said to know it all, but never could I find one single source which both made common sence, and didn't relie on some sort of faith, not until I read the book which I suggested. I personally know that I have a soul. At one time I wasn't so sure of that, but now I am. But it is not the whole puzzle, it is only a piece of the puzzle. You do not need to believe that you have one, to have one. Just consider yourself in another learning phase. It is 2:30 in the morning here, but I will leave your paragraphs for you in the morning. All you'll need to bring is some good old fashion common sense. This has nothing to do with religion. The soul is not religious.Quote:
